I just realized it’s been about a week now since I’ve had a mystery book in my current reads. What’s wrong with me? Now, there’s a mystery to be solved as I usually have a mystery going on but I just haven’t picked up a new book yet.
So the plan is to go stand in front of my mystery section of my shelves and choose one. Do I go with a series I already know or do I try a new one? I wouldn’t mind meeting new characters but maybe I just want to relax and visit with old friends. Let’s see what captures my attention.
If anything, I can always fall back on the latest issue of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. I went to the bookstore during lunch the other day and was so excited to find this. It had been a while since I’d seen it on the shelves.
And, also don’t forget if to throw in your name in the hat for the giveaway of The Last Letter From Your Lover. I’ll draw a name tomorrow night.
Good luck on finding a good mystery! I love returning to familiar characters, but I also love discovering new series and new authors.
Good luck finding a new mystery to read!
It’s always a dilemma to choose a new mystery! At the moment I have a proper mystery on the go (Josephine Tey) and two suspenseful novels (Elizabeth Haynes and Simone St. James). I have lots of good reading to look forward to this weekend–hope you do, too.
Jenclair – I found a good one to read although at times it feels a bit more like a romance but it’s fun. I like the setting too so that helps!
Kailana – It’s always fun to go through the shelves and discover forgotten series!
Danielle – That’s so true! I really want to read the Simone St. James series. I almost picked up the first one. Maybe it’ll be my next read. Hope you are enjoying your mystery reads!
