I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We went to a new coffee shop and had some delicious iced drinks. It would have been great if they’d had a nice outdoor seating area but maybe our next coffee shop to visit will have one. Clearly I’m trying to recreate our Germany cafe visits! haha.
I also dropped off some books at one of the Little Free Libraries in my neighborhood and I promise I didn’t get any books. That’s not to say I haven’t added more books to my TBR stacks.
Let me tell you about the book buys I made at the end of May. These are all Kindle reads:
Dominicana by Angie Cruz
Welcome to Lagos by Chibundu Onuzo
Cold Caller by Jason Starr (had to get this after Diane’s recent review).
All Systems Red by Martha Wells (had to get this after Jenclair’s recent review)
Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn
A Guide to Birds of East Africa by Nicholas Drayson
Las Dos Muertes by Jaime Alfonso Sandoval
How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House by Cheri Jones
Mum & Dad by Joanna Trollope
Oh and this weekend I received the Amazon Reading Guide Summer 2021. This magazine features author interviews with Amanda Gorman and Kristin Hannah among others. There are book recommendations by genre and even a feature on what defines a beach read with input from various authors. I think I’ve heard of most of the books mentioned but still anything to promote books makes me happy.
Alright I hope you all have a great start of the week and more book talk soon!
Hope you enjoy All Systems Red! I’m interested in How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House and look forward to your opinion on all of your new titles!
Lots of great new titles here! I’m especially interested in How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House after reading a few very positive reviews. Last week I found a Little Free Library on the island, so I’ll be dropping a coupe of books off soon.
Oh some good new books! Happy reading!
I’m always happy when I see that someone has left new books in my Little Free Library.
And look at all the new books. Dominicana sounds great. So does Las Dos Muertes.
Oh Oh Oh I hope you read Martha Wells soon! I think you typically don’t read scifi, but Murderbot is all kinds of fun. I want to read Murderbot too in June. And I’ve seen good press about Love Lettering, waiting to hear from you how that one goes.
I hope you find your café with outdoor seating. 🙂 I hope you enjoy your new books! I have Love Lettering on my Kindle, but haven’t read it. I am really curious about How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House. I have heard good things about it. I hope you have a great weekend, Iliana!
