I can barely believe this but on Wednesday my blog turns 5 years old! When I started my blog I had no major goals or plans for it. I just know I wanted to talk about my love for reading but I never imagined I’d still be writing about booklust five years later.
And, little did I know I’d become a part of a wonderful book blog community. Granted a community that has helped to make my to-be-read list a tome in itself. Heh.
So thank you to all my friends in blogland. I hope we’ll share many more years of book talk.
Now, I think 5 is quite a big number in blog years so this deserves a big celebration and you know what that means for me – handmade books. So I’m giving away five handmade journals. All you’ve got to do is tell me what’s one book you plan on reading this summer. I’ll do a drawing on Sunday.
I’m off to do a bit of celebrating with some good reads, a glass of milk and chocolate chip cookies. Yum.
Happy anniversary! I plan on reading lots this summer, but the one book that I know I will read is The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe. It looks really good.
Happy Anniversary! I love reading your blog because it gets me excited about books that I have never even heard of! I am currently reading through the Janet Evanovich books again so that I am ready for her new one – finger – lickin fifteen!
wow, 5 years! That’s a very long time! Happy, happy blogiversary! Your blog is one of my absolute favourites, and I hope you’ll be around for many more 😀
As for summer reads..a book I’ll read as soon as I’m less busy is The Children’s Book by A.S. Byatt. I’ve been dying to read it, but I know it’ll demand my full attention, so now is not a good time.
Five years is worthy of a new header, for sure! I feel honored to have one of your books already, the beautiful Florentine covered one bound with beads. It’s so gorgeous I can’t bring myself to write in it yet. Congratulations on sticking with all the projects you undertake, from reading to binding to blogging.
FIve years is a real accomplishment! Congratulations! This summer I’ll be reading lots of Jane Austen related things for the Everything Austen challenge.
Congratulations on 5 years of book blogging! Like so many others your blog was one of the very first I found when I linked into the book blogging world a little over 1 year ago now so thank you for enticing me into this world! One book I am planning to read this summer (or winter as it is in Australia!) is The Spy Game by Georgina Harding.
Happy Five year Anniversary! That’s so cool that you have stuck with it. You were one of the first book bloggers I cam across and I was so thrilled when you added me to your blogroll! 🙂 Congrats and I hope you have many more happy blogging years to come. I’m planning on reading AS Byatt’s The Children’s Book, which just came in the mail today! (And I may read the Emma Smith novel that Persephone published to go along with her memoir!).
Congratulations on reaching the five year mark, Iliana! That is quite an accomplishment. You have certainly been an inspiration to me and have made my wish list and TBR collection grow exponentially. 🙂
This summer I am planning on reading quite a few books. At least that’s my goal. One of them is The Missing Ink by Karen E. Olson. The Time Traveller’s Wife is another. And The Red Tent. And hopefully In the Woods too.
Congrats!! Love the blog header too!
I received one of your books in the past, so please count me out and give it to someone else to enjoy!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! 5 years of blogging – congratulations! Keep up the great work, Iliana.
Happy (belated) blogiversary! (I’m a new lurker, so hello! ^-^) Five years is an amazing time.
Thanks so much! I received my beautiful journal today and blogged about it.
Sorry I’m late to the party, but I wanted to wish you a happy blogiversary. May you have many more years of bloggy fun!
