Thank you to everyone who left a comment for the giveaway for Sue Monk Kidd’s book Traveling With Pomegranates. I enjoyed reading about everyone’s dream trips. And, now the winners:
- Dawn from She Is Too Fond Of Books
- Andi from Tripping Toward Lucidity
And, now the weekend is almost here and I have lots of plans. I just got an email from the library that my holds came in so hopefully I can stop in to pick them up. Still behind on reviews – I am not the only one right?
I’d love to read another spooky short story and I’ve got two books to choose from: Carmilla and 12 Other Classic Tales of Mystery by Sheridan Le Fanu and the Mammoth Book of Victorian and Edwardian Ghost Stories. Which one should I choose? If you’ve read one let me know.
I’m also in the middle of five books so I’d love to make more progress in all of them. I promise to tell you more about those in an upcoming post.
I want to spend more time bookbinding and filling up the shop. I’ve got new postcard journals and I want to put together more ephemera kits as well.
Finally, I can’t wait for date night at the bookstore. I’ve got my journal ready to take with me and make note of new books that capture my attention. Oh yes, and I really want to indulge in a cinnamon dolce latte.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and more bookish talk soon!
Both sounds good to me! 😉 But if I’d to choose, I’d go for Carmilla.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead, Iliana!
Congrats to the winners!
Please, please, please drink a cinnamon dolce latte for me. I miss crazy coffees so much.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who reads a bunch of books at the same time!
I think Carmilla is a fabulous story so I say go with that.
I’d vote for Carmilla! I hear you on keeping up with posts. I’m reading them faster than I can write them. Honestly what I need is a full day to just sit and do them! Congrats to the winners of the giveaway, and you Iliana have a great weekend!
I am intrigued by date night at the bookstore. Do you go on dates with book bloggers?
Mmmm . . . a cinnamon dolce latte would hit the spot right now!
I’ve never read either of the anthologies you mentioned, but I’d go with Mammoth Book of Victorian and Edwardian Ghost Stories!
I haven’t read either of the books you’re looking at, but it looks like Carmilla is getting the vote!
I’m so excited about winning Pomegranates – thank you!
wow, in the middle of 5 books, glad to see I’m not the only one whose attention wanders! 🙂 Have a great bookish weekend!
Congrats to the winners! I need to stroll over and take a looksee at your shop. Have a great weekend.
congrats to the winners!
enjoy your weekend 🙂 Happy reading and enjoy your latte.
What?? I didn’t win!! I am going into depression 😀
**sighing** congrats to lucky girls!
weekend is beginning… and i have never read about those books :S
cinnamon dolce latte – that *sounds* YUMMY! 😀
Hey for Dewey’s Challenge – the Matrimony u mention is Joshua Henkin’s?
Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend planned. I hope you enjoy all of your books!
Congrats to the winners! I picked up a copy the other day at work and read the first page. I’m definitely going to buy this book during our employee discount sale in December. It looks like something written just for me!
I’m slowly catching up on reviews, too. I have more to write and then I’ll be done. Unless I finish my current read today, which is highly possible. But both should be quick and easy to review.
I’m trying to catch up on some blog-hopping, but my daughter’s visiting from Dallas, so I may not get very far. We’re having too much fun eating out and shopping. 🙂
Hope you have a good weekend. Enjoy your latte!
Melody – I hope you are having a great weekend too! 🙂
Nikki – You bet! Aren’t they so good?
Carrie K. – I love to have several going on. Although I actually only have 4 and not 5 like I thought!
Paperback_Reader – I think I’m definitely going to go with it. Will try to start it tomorrow.
Sandy – I need to sit down and stop being distracted by other things and just get those reviews done. The more I wait the more I forget things! 😉
vivienne – Oh that would be cool. I’d love to go hang out with a bunch of bloggy friends but date night is my husband and mine’s perfect way to end the week. A stop at the bookstore, coffee and lots of magazines & books 🙂
Stephanie – I’ve had that book forever. One of these days I am going to break into it. It sounds so good doesn’t it.
Dawn – Yes, Carmilla seems to the be one everyone is recommending. I have been wanting to read something by LeFanu so this would be perfect.
Joanna – I love having several books going on at one that way I can find the book to fit my mood 🙂
Care – Hope you are having a great one too!
bookworm – thank you! We had a great time at the bookstore last night!
Veens – A cinnamon dolce latte is the best. I’m sure it’s super fattening so I only have one every once in a while but what a treat. And, yes, Matrimony is the Joshua Henkin book. I’ve actually finished it but just need to write a review – very enjoyable!
Kathleen – Thank you! I hope you are having a great weekend too!
Les in NE – I really want to read the book too. It just sounds like it’d be a very good comfort read. Good luck catching up on your reviews! I haven’t started a single one 😉 But, most importantly have fun with your daughter – the reviews can wait!
Hi, I just found your blog and love the layout and content. I’ll be back again soon!
~Anita
Congratulations to the lucky winners. I’m anxious to read this book.
Thanks SO MUCH, Iliana! I’m so excited that I won a copy of Traveling with Pomegranates. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.
As for reviews, I can only wish I was reviewing enough to be behind on reviews! 😀
I read it too! I didn’t knw that it was on Dewey’s blog 😀
Thanks now I am 1 more book ahead 🙂
I am 3 down and 2 to go!! YAY!!
Congrats to the winners.
