What happened to the weekend? We had such a busy, but fun, weekend but I can’t believe it’s over.
We got a chance to spend a quite evening at Border’s on Friday. Believe or not, I didn’t buy a book for me but I did buy for my mom. I did find quite a few magazines to read and have to mention that if you are into Nancy Drew you should check out the latest Bust Magazine as they have a Nancy Drew-inspired fashion spread. How can you not smile at that.
I finished reading Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler which was quite fun and I will write more about soon. Unfortunately I didn’t get to my spooky short story but you guys made quite the case for Carmilla so I promise I’m going to read that one.
Oh yes, and I went to the library and picked up books. Fun. The loot post is coming up this week because I need to tell you about each of the books I got.
And, best of all I got to see my wonderful and dear friend Christine! She’s in town visiting and we had dinner with her and her husband tonight and I even get to hang out with her at BookPeople tomorrow. How cool is that.
So off for now but will be back soon to tell you about books I’ve received, books from the library and so much more.
Can’t wait to see what books you have received, Iliana! I hope you’ve a wonderful week ahead! 🙂
Don’t you love catching up with old friends? I swear it heals the soul.
Looking forward to your library loot post!
Sounds like a lovely weekend. I am looking forward to hearing about the books! 🙂
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. I am impressed that you went to a book store and only bought a book for your mum.
Even though your weekend was busy, it sounds like it was fun! I can’t believe you went to the bookstore and didn’t buy a book for yourself. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to exhibit that level of self control! LOL
That sounds like a nice weekend. I love magazines but I am terrible about buying them and then not reading them when I have them at home!
I always love it when I can go into a bookshop and buy for other people. It means I come out feeling virtuous for once instead of burdened down by a load of guilt the weight of which increases directly in line with the number of parcels I’m carrying.
I’m fascinated with the idea of Nancy Drew fashion!
A quiet evening at Borders sounds so nice. I wonder if I can talk my husband into stopping by there after dinner tonight. I can look up that copy of Bust Magazine you’ve mentioned. I hope you had a nice visit with your friend!
