I’ve got so many plans for the weekend – how about you?
- Do some bookbinding. My studio is finally ready to be used. I still have a few things boxed up but for the most part it’s ready to go and oh how I’ve missed bookbinding. It’s been at least a month so let the sewing and gluing begin!
- Go to the library. I’ve placed several books on hold and they are all waiting for me. I’ll tell you what I got in my next post.
- Date night at the bookstore. What with our recent move, holidays, etc. we haven’t gone for our regular date night at the bookstore. What new books and magazines am I missing out on? I can’t wait to go spend a couple of hours relaxing at our second home, the bookstore.
- Yoga. I missed a few classes during the holidays and yesterday when I went to class I realized how much I missed it. Looking forward to stretching, breathing and focusing that monkey mind of mine.
- Sunday Salon. It’s been such a long time since I’ve participated and I’m hoping to join this weekend.
- Drink lots of warm drinks. It is cold down here in Central Texas. I’ve got the cabinets stocked up with yummy coffees, teas and hot chocolate. Perfect for when I’m enjoying a good read.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and more bookish stuff in my next post.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Enjoy and stay warm!
You’ve got a full weekend ahead of you! I wouldn’t argue with a single thing on your list. I’ll make sure to swing back around for Sunday Salon!
Yum, hot chocolate… I haven’t been to yoga in months since my favorite instructor moved farther (further?) away.
Those sound like wonderful weekend plans! And I’ll be back for your Sunday Salon. 😀
Kristy – You too! Can you believe how cold it is? Perfect weather for staying in with a good book 🙂
Sandy – And, I forgot to mention going grocery shopping but that’s boring stuff. haha…
Care – Oh I hate it when you lose a good teacher. Hope you find a good class soon. Our yoga teacher is fantastic so I hate to miss a class.
Eva – I think it’s been a year since I participated! Yikes. Looking forward to visiting everyone too 🙂
I love the idea of date night at the bookstore. I wish my hubby was more into books.
I am actually having a quiet weekend. So far all I have done is a bit of reading and a bit of catching-up on my blog reading.
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! My partner and I are also hoping to have a date at the bookshop!
How fun to have your own studio now. You’ll have to share photos. It’s nice to keep all your supplies out and at the ready rather than having to pack them all away when you finish! Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!! (It feels weird to say that to someone who lives in TX!).
I heard it was getting cold down there in Texas! Not quite as chilly as Nebraska, though. We’ve been below zero quite a bit this past week, but hopefully, we’ll be warming up in the coming week. We may even get above freezing!
I joined a new health club last week and am very excited to start some yoga classes. I’ve never done yoga (always been a runner, biker, etc.), but something about it has been calling to me for well over a year. Wish me luck!
Sounds like you have wonderful weekend planned! Hope you enjoy it…
It’s a little late for commenting on this entry (it’s Sunday already), but I thought I’d let you know what I’ve been up to so far this weekend: I’ve been working on my blog and posted my very first entry yesterday. Today, I plan on doing very little other then read. And I think I will also check what the Sunday Salon is all about.
Have a nice day.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Our HVAC system is out – yes during the coldest time of the year. So we spent yesterday breaking into our bricked up fireplace and at the fireplace store looking at gas logs. It’s a project we’ve been wanting to do for a long time, so now it’s getting done. I have been spending time in bed under the electric blanket with the cats reading. Very cozy.
I haven’t had a date night at the bookstore in a lonnnnnnnggggggg time. I need to get back to that. Not that I need anymore books, but I am starving for the warmth and comfort of the environment. 🙂
Enjoy your plans. I just love your books!
vivienne – My husband is quite the bookworm too so we love going to the bookstore and chilling out with magazines, books and drinks 🙂
Kailana – I like quiet weekends like that. Good for relaxing and just enjoying quiet time.
Karen – Hope you guys have fun!
Danielle – I love my studio! I don’t have it all decorated like I wish yet and that will take a long time but now I don’t feel cramped in at all. I will share some pictures soon!
Les in NE – It hasn’t been this cold here in years! I’m not ready for summer but a bit more warmth would be nice 🙂 Have fun at your new gym. I hope you’ll like your yoga class. I would say that if you don’t like it give it a shot with a different teacher or different style. I’ve had some not very good teachers and classes and that really makes a big difference.
Kathleen – So far it’s been really nice and productive! Hope you are having a good one too.
Sophie – Yay! I’m so glad you are blogging. I just visited 🙂
Melanie – Oh no that’s terrible! Well at least it is the perfect excuse to stay in bed all day under the blankets and with some good books. Stay warm!
Wisteria Leigh – We had a good time last night although the magazine section was chaos! Half of the stuff was out of order or old. But I had a very yummy hot chocolate and still found some stuff to read. Hope you get to go hang out at the bookstore soon 🙂
Sounds like a great weekend — I hope you enjoyed yourself! I did some yoga and drank some hot drinks and read some books, and I also saw the Jane Austen exhibit in NYC! I’m hoping to write about it soon.
Stay warm, Iliana! I wish I could send some sunshine here your way! 😛
Hope you’ve a great week ahead!
Sounds like you had a good weekend! It is cold up here too and so it is great to have things to keep you busy indoors and warm!! 🙂
Dorothy W. – Oh I’m really looking forward to your post on the Jane Austen exhibit. How fun!
Melody – We actually do have tons of sunshine but just still too cold for me 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend!
christine – We had a good one! And, glad you stayed in and just kept warm. We watched a movie I’ll have to tell you about later.
I went to Borders last night and got lost. LOL
I was alone but found myself lingering among the books in a trance-like state. I snapped out of it so I could go take care of the hounds.
