I’m back in Dallas to spend Mother’s Day with my mom. We plan to have a Brother Cadfael marathon, do a bit of shopping and just hang out. I’m also planning to hang out with one of my dear, best friends and finally check out Legacy Books, an Indie bookstore.
So not much bookishness for now but I do have two awards to pass along. Melody and Naida recently shared the blog love and passed on the Heartfelt Award and the #1 Blogger Award.
Aren’t the badges cute?
So here’s the scoop on the Heartfelt Award: Do you reach for a cup of cocoa or tea when youΓ’β¬β’re relaxing, seeking comfort, sharing a plate of cookies with family & friends? You know that feeling you get when you drink a yummy cup of cocoa, tea ~ or a hot toddy? That is what the Heartfelt award is all about feeling warm inside. Now nominate 9 blog friends and which make you feel warm and cozy inside:
Ok, you know you all are super sweet but I gotta stick to the rules. So the award goes to:
- Diane from Bibliophile by the Sea
- Nicole from Book Escape
- Jodie from Book Gazing
- Care from Care’s Online Book Club
- Anna from Diary of an Eccentric
- Wendy from Musings of a Bookish Kitty
- Dawn from She is Too Fond of Books
- Stefanie from So Many Books
- Stephanie from Stephanie’s Written Word
I know everyone is busy so no pressure to pass them on. Just hope they make your day.
And, to all my book blog friends who are moms, happy Mother’s Day to you! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and more book talk next post.
Have a wonderful time with your mom on Mother’s Day! It has been strangely quiet around my blog, so I think everyone is out and about this weekend!
I think a Brother Cadfael marathon sounds great — enjoy!
Sandy – In general it seems like blogland is a bit more quiet don’t you think? I guess it’s spring and everyone is out enjoying the weather π Hope you have a great mother’s day!
Dorothy W. – They are so good. I’ve yet to see two so I’m looking forward to those and reading the books too. I finally read A Morbid Taste for Bones and loved it.
Congratulations on your awards, Iliana! I hope you have a wonderful weekend π
Congrats on the much deserved award. I appreciate that you passed it on to me. That’s very kind of you. π
Funny, I was thinking I’d like to reread a Cadfael mystery just the other day. I read them all years ago and loved them!
I haven’t made it to Legacy Books yet and I don’t live far from it. I’m interested to see what you think of it. Considering where it’s located (upscale shopping area) I have my doubts, but I could be swayed if you like it;-)
Hurray thanks so much! Hope you have a nice time in Dallas (I’m currently recovering from my nice time with mojitos and cocktails named ‘Dave’ last night).
Nymeth – Thank you! I’ve been having a good time and trying to relax too π
Anna – You are very welcome! Hope you are enjoying mother’s day π
litlove – I finally read the first book in the series and loved it so that’s one I will definitely have to continue with. Have you ever watched the series? Very good too!
Kristy – I need to do a full report on it. It was very pretty and stylish, no surprise there given where it’s located, but it didn’t feel like a bookstore to me. I promise to report more on it soon!
Jodie – You bet! Ah lots of cocktails huh? π Relax with a good book!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend, Iliana! π
Gosh Iliana, thanks! I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your mom, and friends and book shopping!
I’ve been meaning to try some Cadfael mysteries. I’m sure I’d like them and could get them from Netflix after to watch!
Congrats on your awards! I hope you had a great time at the Indie store and visiting your friend.
