Two New Books

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI have quite a few eBooks to tell you about but my Kindle ran out of juice so I’m charging that up. In the meantime I’ll tell you about two new books that arrived in the last couple of weeks.

Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra. From the back cover: In 2003, sixteen-year-old Rebecca Winter disappeared. She’s been enjoying her summer break but ominous things begin to happen – a presence in her room at night, periods of blackouts, a feeling of being watched. Eleven years later she is replaced. What? I know, this sounds all kinds of twisty and thrilling! I am looking forward to this book.

Mending Fences by Sherryl Woods. From the back cover: For ten years Emily Dobbs and Marcie Carter have been the closest of friends. But when Marcie’s son, now a college freshman sports star, is arrested for date rape, the bond between the families could be shattered forever. Sounds like a good drama.

Have you heard of these or read them? Let me know if you have.

So what is everyone planning for the weekend? I would love to finish one of my current reads I mentioned recently. I’m thinking of taking my book and journal to a cafe for the afternoon this weekend but then I’ve heard of some stuff going on around town that I wouldn’t mind checking out. We’ll see what I end up doing. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and more book talk soon!
