It’s been too long since I’ve participated in one of these so that means it’s the perfect time for a Tuesday Intro post. First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea. Here’s my intro:
“He shouldn’t really be driving; they all know that. But Solly has probably had the least to drink of all of them and, besides, he has a calm self-possession that makes him able to carry off all sorts of excesses and still remain the reliable, charming boy next door.”
From The Chalk Pit by Elly Griffiths.
You just know these kids are going to be in a bit of trouble don’t you? What do you think happens next and would you keep reading?
I’m actually about half way through the book and good thing as it’s due back at the library tomorrow. The Ruth Galloway series is one of my favorite and this is turning out to be another great entry. There are messy relationships, great characters and of course bones, always bones being found somewhere. If you haven’t ever tried this series I do highly recommend it and, yes, I also recommend started from the beginning.
hat about you, what book are you reading?
I enjoyed this one but didn’t read this series in order. I suppose I’ll have to read her first book and follow up from there. ☺
I’ve only read the first two books in the series, but I love the characters, especially Ruth. This one is on my list.
Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “LIE TO MEâ€
Ido want to read this one; thanks for joining us Iliana.
I am so far behind in this series! I need to pop over to Audible and order the next one. I think I’m on #4.
I have not read this series.
Famous last thoughts! I wouldn’t want to be in that car . . . This sounds good, Iliana. I am glad you are enjoying it!
