I’m back with another entry for  Top Ten Tuesday a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is: Books I’d Gladly Throw into the Ocean. I’m thinking this is books you didn’t like and want to get rid of but I’m going to play around with this and think about books that seem like they would be useful if they were thrown in the ocean.
First, you’d want The First Rule of Swimming by Courtney Angela Brkic. Follow up by some Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler and learn how to Hold Your Breath by B.P. Walter. Important things if you are going to be in the ocean for a while.
It’s also important to have The Knowledge of Water by Sarah Smith and to know that The Water’s Lovely by Ruth Rendell. And, for safety, why not add The Floating Book by M. R. Lovric so that The Odyssey by Homer you’re about to embark on will be The Most Fun We’ve Ever Had by Claire Lombardo.
Finally, I hope you are able to board The Narrowboat Summer by Anne Youngson and come out of the water and sit for A Dry Spell by Clare Chambers.
You know what’s even crazier than this? The fact that I have all of these titles on my shelves! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this and would love to see what you came up with. Let me know if you joined in this week’s meme.
This was such a creative response! You did a lovely job with it.

Ah, I love it! I’d pop in a few Rachel Carson books, and maybe you could add a few for the mermaids, like Mareli at Elza Reads did!
🙂 I was worried when I saw some of the books, but then read your take on the prompt! 🙂
Very fun take on this week’s TTT! 😀
Lydia – Thank you! Can’t wait to see what you came up with.
Deb Nance @ Readerbuzz – Oh I need to see Elza’s list to see what she did. I probably do have some mermaid books too! haha..
Jen Mullen – I know, right? I probably could do a whole post on books that I could throw in because I didn’t like them but thought this was kind of fun 🙂
Lark – I just couldn’t believe how many water/swimming/etc. titles I had on my shelf!
Fun twist on the topic! If I were stranded on a deserted island, I would definitely want a “How to Survive on a Deserted Island” book to come floating by. That would be super handy 🙂
Happy TTT!

What a fun response to the topic!
I love how you twist the topic a bit and make them into a fun post, Iliana! Great job and so creative!
Wow, that was a very neat idea to link up book titles in that way. All around the theme of water — and yet it reads like such a fun book tag! Enjoyed your post a lot. <3 <3 <3
At first I thought you were going to list chunksters you could throw overboard so you could float. 🙂 I like your idea better!
