I have lots of things I want to get done this weekend. Do you? Here’s are some of the ones that get highest priority:
- Date night at the bookstore. We haven’t had our regular date night in several weeks and I just know there are tons of magazines waiting for me. We are planning to go tonight.
- Rubber Stamp Festival. I really don’t need any more rubber stamps but it’s so fun to go to this. I always walk away with a new technique I want to try and ideas for new crafty projects.
- Pick up bread at the BreadHaus. I already have the nutella ready for the brรยถtchen.
- Continue reading Great Expectations. I had to wait two hours while my car was being serviced today so I made a dent in this book. I’m enjoying it a great deal, and I especially like running across words like: peppercorny, farinaceous, and excrescence.
- Return Inรยฉs of My Soul to the library. I was disappointed with the book – click on the title for more of my thoughts. At least I can say one book down in the What’s in a Name Challenge.
- Watch Masterpiece Theater – It’s the Jane Event!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

I hope you have a good weekend too, Iliana. A date night at the bookstore sounds wonderful. My husband and I did that earlier in the week after having dinner out. We stopped in at Borders and spend one of our gift cards. ๐
Sounds like great weekend plans. I hope to start A Tale of Two Cities. So which Jane movie are you watching this weekend?
It sounds like you’ll have a great weekend! A date night at the bookstore… I love the idea!
Have a great weekend! My time will be spent running, riding, and reading — not too bad, is it?
Literary Feline – Thank you! We had a good time at the bookstore although I left without a book purchase. I hope you have a good one too. Are you doing the Sunday Salon? I’m thinking of joining in but we’ll see ๐
tanabata – I believe they are starting with Persuasion. I just hope I don’t forget. I’m terrible about remembering to watch shows. Have you read any Dickens? I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying GE.
Nymeth – I’m very lucky that my husband loves books as much as I do. Have a great weekend. Are you doing some studying this weekend?
Dorothy W. – Oh that sounds like a great weekend! How many miles are you planning to do? I’ll stop over your blog later to check up! Have fun! ๐
Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend planned. I’m having date night tonight thanks to a rare babysitter…dinner and a movie.
I laughed out loud when I ran across the word “peppercorny!” I even read it out loud to B. and he has no interest in hearing snippets of my books. But that was just too good to pass up.
Tara – Hope you enjoyed the movie!
Andi – I know, wasn’t that a great word? This was a great choice for the start of the Reading Dangerous challenge!
Rubber stamps seem like a distant memory to me. When I started kindergarten, the school required a rubber stamp of the kid’s name made prior to registration. I still have it inside a little paper jewelry box. Over the years I have collected several rubber stamps from travel, including one of a dog, a giraffe, a bookplate, and oluolu flower. ๐
Matt – You’ve just given me a great idea – I never thought to collect rubber stamps from a travel location! I wonder how easy it is to find something like that. To think that I hardly ever played w/rubber stamps as a child and now I’m hooked ๐
I’ve only read A Christmas Carol, and Great Expectations, which I really liked. Since I’d already read it, that’s why I decided to read A Tale of Two Cities instead for the challenge as it’s been lurking on my shelves for some time.
