I guess it’s official now and Pages Magazine is no more. What a bummer. Maybe I can still find a copy of the last edition at the bookstore. Speaking of magazines, in my post on the 51 Best Magazines several of you also mentioned being Sassy readers. I had a subscription for Sassy for years but threw out all of my magazines when I went to college. I think I should have kept them. Look at how much a premier issue is going for.
Anyway, those are gone now but guess who’s back? Estella’s Revenge! If you haven’t had a chance to go visit please do so. It’s now all about books.
For now, I’m off to bed and hopefully to rest and get rid of a cold I caught. Grrr. I don’t have time for this cold. There’s a book sale going on in my neighborhood and it’s a good one (I’ve been to it the past several years). My book bag is ready so I better be as well.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Ooooh, have fun at the sale! And I hope you shake your cold off quickly. I’ve had one lingering and I just want it to go away.
Very sorry to hear about Pages. I’m bummed about it too. I had started reading it pretty regularly. 🙁
And thanks for the Estella plug, by the way. We’ve had a good day!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
I’ve gotten a cold twice this season already. 😛
That is sad about Pages. I will have to make my way over to Estella’s Revenge. Hope that cold goes away quickly – you have books to buy!
Get to feeling better and hope you are able to enjoy the weekend.
I wasn’t a Sassy reader, but I sure did love Seventeen! I wanted all the outfits those models were wearing.
Hope you feel better soon. Is it a cold or allergies from that awful dust storm y’all had? I think I’d take dust over the damned snow we keep getting. Grrrr.
Hope the cold doesn’t get in the way of the book sale. Feel better soon!
That’s too bad about Pages. I hadn’t been able to find it anywhere in Tokyo, but used to pick it up regularly when we lived in the UK (in Borders import mags).
Hey, I was a Sassy girl, too. Those were the good old days, eh! I wonder if my mom kept any of those (I was a notorious hoarder of magazines!). Probably not. $400–that would buy a few books!
I love book sales… but missed a really good one recently. Boohoo! Hope you feel better in time to get some good books. Don’t forget to let us know what you get!
Andi – So glad Estella had a great start! It’s a great issue.
SciFiChick – Ugh, two colds already? poor you. I’m slowly starting to feel normal 🙂
Christine – Thanks girl. I hope you guys have a blast this weekend.
Les in NE – I thought it was allergies at first but usually a couple of Benadryl take care of that, if it goes on then I know it’s a cold. Ugh. Oh and I was a Seventeen reader too 🙂
Stefanie – Thank you! I am going to that sale no matter what 🙂
Tanabata – I know isn’t that sad. At least Bookmarks is still around.
Danielle – Oh tell your mom to look for those. You never know! 🙂
Kisane – How did you miss out on your sale? Too much work right? I promise a full report 🙂
I am SO bummed about Pages! I have read that magazine faithfully for the last two years or so and I had no idea it was stopping press until just now. I must have missed something somewhere, but I am seriously sad about that! Thanks for the news though, at least now I won’t get a surprise letter in the mail explaining why my subscription has been canceled.
Hi Iiana,
Thanks so much for commenting on my blog:) I knew someone would read the email I sent:) Glad you like the look and name of it:) I’m hoping to be much more active on this one as I’ll be letting go of my Blogger one.
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Miss you!
I hope you get over your cold quickly and have a blast at the book sale! Never could find Pages in our area, but a friend sent me a copy and I loved it. What a bummer. Book magazines sure don’t seem to last.
