Congratulations to Kimmy who won the copy of Lesley Dormen’s book The Best Place to Be!
I didn’t get a chance to read any ghost stories today as I spent most of the day cutting and gluing paper but there’s always tomorrow.
Granted tomorrow I’ve got lots of stuff planned. There are several readings I want to check out at Texas Book Festival (and the vendor tent of course!), and I’m also hoping to stop in at the Mexic-Arte Museum to see the DÃÂa de los Muertos exhibit.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

congrats Kimmy 🙂
and i like your new header! it is cute… [ But once Halloween is done ; do change it back to what it was b4 … it was erally nice one 😉 ]
I love your header..adorable. I love the celebration of Dia de los Muertos. When I taught middle school we had a large (40% hispanic population). This holiday was so misunderstood by our culture in the Northeast that it was fun including it in the curriculum. Have a great week. Wisteria
Kimmy – Yay, hope you like it!
Serena – It was good. I can’t believe too it was one of those books I’d had on my shelf for at least a year. So glad I could do the book tour and finally read the book 🙂
Veens – Thanks! And, yep, it’s going back to it’s normal header later tonight 🙂
Wisteria – Thank you! Dia de los Muertos is really very interesting. I actually wish I could visit one of the more central or southern states in Mexico because I know they do a lot more lavish celebrations than what I’m used to. My family is from northern Mexico so our traditions get a little bit more diluted. Still, this is a special day for my family to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us.
