Forgive me if this post is going to be a bit all over the place but I feel like there’s so much going on with me and in the blogosphere that I don’t want to miss mentioning some stuff.
First, a huge thank you to all of you guys for your kind words on my shop. Your comments and words of encouragement make me smile and motivate me even more in my craft. I promise to continue to share my adventures.
Next up, I hope you all are readers of Read This!, a wonderful blog presented by the Peabody Institute Library’s reader’s advisory group. I have just had the opportunity of being a guest blogger reviewer. I know Danielle and Carl V. have also been guest reviewers so I’m very excited to join them. Please visit and see what I had to say about Elizabeth Taylor’s book Blaming.
Speaking of Carl V., did you all see that the R.I.P. III Challenge has been announced? I am so behind on most of my challenges that I’m sure I won’t finish them but I just can’t say no to this challenge. I’m looking through my stacks so I’ll be back to post on that soon.
Last week I also found out about My Friend Amy and the Book Blogger Appreciation week she’s hosting. That’s coming up September 15 – 19th. So go check it out, sounds like a lot of fun!
Finally, for those of you who love historical fiction and want to chat about it, there’s a new gathering place over at the Historical Fiction Forum. I’ve got a couple of historical novels lined up to be read next so I will have to visit the forum and see if anyone’s been talking about them.
In the meantime, I’m finishing up some books and hope to have some book reviews done towards the end of the week and even a couple of book giveaways so stay tuned!
Thanks for the mention, and congrats on your Etsy shop, that is great. I’m so happy for you. Etsy has been such a wonderful discovery this year. Even though it is dangerous financially to go over there!
That’s a great review, Iliana!
The reading challenge sounds exciting, and I can see a lot of readers have already signed up for it. 🙂 I can’t wait to read everyone’s reviews.
I’ve just been over to the shop and love the fact that your work is now available to buy. It looks so professional and I will definitely be back around Christmas.
Congrats on being asked to review for the Peabody!
Maybe you have a new career as a reviewer?
Thanks for the link to Read This! I will be checking it out. Also, congrats on starting your own shop – Etsy is a great place for crafty goodness. I’ve already got my RIP III list up (I could hardly wait for Carl’s announcement to post it!
Carl V. – Etsy is great isn’t it. I’ve been shopping there for years now so it was about time to join in! I’m really looking forward to the R.I.P. challenge – thank you for bringing it back 🙂
Melody – I think we were all waiting for the R.I.P. challenge to be announced! I need to spend some time staring at my stacks to come up with my choices 🙂
Ann (Table Talk) – Thank you so much for supporting my little enterprise. I can’t wait to add more journals! 🙂
Isabel – Oh wouldn’t that be cool? Then again all that pressure would probably freak me out. ha,ha…
Stephanie – It’s a wonderful blog! I can’t wait to see your list for the challenge. I’ve got a lot of good books for it but am also trying to decide which Peril to do!
I love your shop! I added it to my favorites on Etsy.
Iliana, are you still deciding your “pool”? I’m curious to see what you’ll pick.
p.s. I love your Italian Flair journal. Do you make it with lined pages by chance?
Chris – Thank you bunches! I hearted you back – I love your little ghost 🙂
Bellezza – I am. I have so many books which sound deliciously creepy and perfect for the challenge but I just don’t know which to pick. Plus, I’m still trying to decide on the Peril – I’ll probably wimp out and go with #2! Oh and unfortunately I don’t have any lined paged journals. I haven’t found a good source of lined paper so all of my books are always blank.
Nice review. Elizabeth Taylor is one of those authors that I’ve heard about but still haven’t read. Someday..
Thanks so much for blogging about the new Historical Fiction forum for us! It is keeping us busy at this point in time, but it is exciting too!
Hope to see you there!
