I’ve recently received two books thanks to some giveaways. The first book that I got is Jantsen’s Gift by Pam Cope. I saw a great review of it over at Naida’s blog and was lucky enough to win one of the copies she had up for grabs.
Then today I went over to BookPeople to pick up the book I won over at Dawn’s blog. She recently celebrated her blogiversary and offered up a book to the winners. I chose Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout after hearing so many of you rave about it.
I’m so excited about my new books. And, I thought I’d share a bit of the book bounty. I’ve have a couple of ARCs to giveaway so read about ’em. If you are interested just leave me a comment (you can say which one or both if they both appeal) and I’ll do a drawing on Friday.
The first book is Gifts of War by Mackenzie Ford. This one I received a few months ago thanks to BookBrowse. I didn’t like the book as I felt the dialogue was sometimes a bit too modern for the time of the story but it seems to be getting some good reviews so maybe it was just me. The book comes out in July.
The other book was a fun read and it was a book that I got courtesy of Sourcebooks. So if you are a fan of mysteries then maybe you’ll want to read Behold, Here’s Poison by Georgette Heyer.
Both books are in great condition. I hope someone will want to add those two to their shelves.
Behold, Here’s Poison sounds like a great one, and I’d really appreciate being entered. π
I hope you enjoy the books that you received. π
Oh I’d love to read a Georgette Heyer mystery. I’ve only read two by her and so far I just adore her. She’s a hoot!
Congrats on your big wins! I hope you enjoy them!
OOOh! Please enter me for the Georgette Heyer novel. I have yet to read anything from her, but I know I’m missing out. I am quite envious of you winning Olive. That is another one I must have!
I received Gifts of War as well, so your comment has left me a little leery. It’s not near the top of the list, but it is in the line-up. Hmmm Actually, I have no idea where that one came from – it just appeared, so I don’t feel an obligation to read it. π
I haven’t read Georgette Heyer, but I’d love to start. Please enter me in the giveaway!
Congratulations on your wins–I’ve heard great things about both of those!
Meanwhile, I’ll toss in my name for Gifts of War. Thanks!
Ooh, looking forward to what you have to say about Olive Kitteridge. Good choice!
You can throw me in the hat for the Georgette Heyer–I love her romances, haven’t yet read a mystery!
I really want to read Olive Kitteridge as well. Enjoy your new books!
You can throw my name in the hat for Gifts of War…I saw someone reading it a few weeks ago and they were engrossed! Always a good sign! Enjoy your new books, they sound fun!
great books received and its very nice of you to raffle some off too π
Enter me for both book, please. “Gifts of war” sounds better, but I like mystery too.
Thanks for the giveaway.
I got 9 books in the mail, today, so I’ll pass on the giveaway but congrats on your wins!!
I hope you enjoy OLIVE KITTERIDGE as much as I did π Of the three winners, yours was the only one I could order easily from a store that was local to you; I’m glad it worked out so well.
No need to enter my name in the giveaway; I’m trying to tame the TBR!
I’ve Olive Kitteridge in my pile, and I can’t wait to read it! I’ve read several good reviews about this one, so hopefully I’ll enjoy it as much as the other readers did!
Enjoy your books, Iliana! π
Thanks you guys. I’m taking the names down and will let you guys know who won the books on Friday π
Congratulations on your wins…. and thanks for sharing some with us too π
