No, things aren’t slowing down for me but they may be a bit slow here at the blog for several days. You see, now I get to tell you why things have been so crazy. We are moving! We’re still in Austin but we are saying goodbye to apartment living and moving in to our house – yay!
That’s why I’ve been a bit absent from the blog and blogosphere. I owe emails, I’m behind on reading your wonderful posts, etc. So, I’m sorry I’ve been a bit out of it but I hope this excuses my behavior. This moving to a house business is exciting, overwhelming, fun, tiring, you name it.
Now, it’s back to packing for me. I’m up to 31 book boxes and I still have all my craft books, poetry books and a few others left to pack. I can’t wait until we get settled in and my library/craft studio are back up and ready to be enjoyed.
In the meantime I hope you guys are reading lots of good things. I’ll try to post and blog visit in between some packing and moving breaks.
Oh and a bit off topic but if you are still doing your Christmas shopping my Etsy Bookbinding Team is having a big event. If you are planning to buy a journal or other paper goods shop at any of the participating stores this week (mine included!) and you can be entered to win some super cool prizes. Here are the details.
Congratulations on your move. I want to see photos of your studio when it’s all set up!
Congrats on your move, Iliana!
December is not really a productive month for me, at least reading-wise. 😉
Hope the move goes smoothly and that you will update us after you are settled down in your new house.
Yay!!!! How exciting is that?! Yes, buying and moving into a house is very time-consuming and stressful, yet fun and exciting. Enjoy every moment and be sure to share pictures once you get settled. Will you be in it by Christmas?
Congratulations on the new house and good luck with the move!
So glad for you! Hope the move goes smoothly.
Congratulations Iliana, this is very exciting. I just can’t believe that my two favorite book bloggers are moving. Margaret from Booksplease is also moving this month. I do hope that you post pictures of your new place soon and that creative juice will flow non stop in the studio. Happy moving!
Congratulations!! I am so happy and excited for you. Can’t wait to see photos of Casa Bookgirl! I need to check out your Etsy team!!
Good luck on your move. How exciting to move into a house! Now will you have more room for new books? 🙂 Of course after packing so many boxes of them, maybe you won’t want more!
Comgrats! Moving is ALL those things. My bff lives in Austin, actually Cedar Park, and I wish I was moving there and to my own house no less. You live in a great city. 🙂
Good luck with the move, iliana! Very exciting, but exhausting too! Hope it all goes very smoothly indeed.
Congrats on getting into your house! I hope you’ll share some pictures with us. I love seeing how people live.
Good luck with the move – sounds very exciting!!
Wow, that is exciting! Think of how many more bookshelves you can have! Moving is soooo much work, so I understand. The last time I moved, I was pregnant with my son (10 and half years ago) and I swore that I would die in this house. I have all kinds of admiration of you moving during the busiest time of year!
Will you be in your new place for Christmas? What great timing that would be.
By the way your book journal arrived today, it’s so cute. I’m passing it on as part of a holiday swap and I’m sure the recipient is going to love it.
Good luck with the move! Ricky and I did it recently and I know how trying it can be.
Congrats on the house! I hope you will have a nice big room for your studio and books! 31 boxes of books so far isn’t bad at all. I think when I moved from apartment to house we packed around 40 boxes of just books. I hope moving goes well. And be sure to take pictures when you are all settled in!
Congratulations on the move! How exciting. I hope it goes well.
Congrats on getting a house!
Good luck with the move, Iliana! And don’t worry – we’ll still be right ere when you’re all settled in in your lovely new place 😀
How exciting!!! I know the moving part is dreadful, but the house part is awesome!
Hey Everyone – Thank you so much for all your sweet comments! I think I just need one more box of books and I’ll be done with that part 🙂 I promise to post pics of the new craft space but it may be a while before it’s presentable – haha…
Good luck with the move! And we’re holiday-swamped here as well.
Congrats on the new home. I hope you’ll be sharing pictures once you get settled!
Congrats on your new home! There is nothing better than owning your own home. Congrats.
So exciting – congratulations! I don’t envy you packing up those books though, I had so many when we moved in here and the number has probably tripled…
Congratulations on your new home! Moving is a huge undertaking but it will be so nice when you are done! Enjoy every moment…even the crazy and stressful ones!
Yippee!! Happy New House. That is so exciting. Good luck with the move. I know how exhausting and at times frustrating the whole process is.
