I hope you all had a great weekend. We did but how did it fly by so quickly? I’m behind on chores, emails, projects and blog visiting but for now I’m going to go back to my book because I am hoping to finish it tonight. In the meantime I’ll leave you with some scenes from our weekend.
I may not have gotten any grocery shopping done this weekend but I did take several bags of books to Half Price Bookstore. I got a bit of cash and bought some new books of course. I’ll tell you about those tomorrow.
Had a delicious omelette at Mother’s. Next time I think I’ll have to have a smoothie too.
Went to see a Very Hot Print show at Pump Project. The prints were beautiful and indeed it was hot. I love going to the Pump Project studios but they have no A/C and when the temps are close to 100, well it gets to be a bit much.
Just cooling off a bit with an iced coffee drink.
Now it’s back to my book.
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, Iliana! I just love your last pic. 🙂
I did some reading and some decluttering and some sewing. I am hoping to get to Half Price Books this week too. Enjoy your reading time.
Sounds like a lovely weekend – great idea for that last photo! 🙂
What a fun weekend! Can’t wait to see what you got at HPB!
Melody – Hee,hee.. I needed to cool off 🙂
Juliann – I had so many plans to work on projects and didn’t even sit at my craft table this whole weekend. Ah well, let’s see what happens this week. How is your quilting going?
Joanna – We had a good one. And, I could use another iced coffee right now too 🙂
Stefanie – We had so much fun. I just wish we could have done some biking but I’m such a wimp with the hot weather. I don’t want to pass out 🙂
Sounds like you had a great weekend. Wow, that is a lot of books…must have been some great finds to fill up that many bags!
Serena – Oh I wish those bags of new books! No, both my husband and I did a bit of weeding of the shelves this weekend and got rid of some books. To make room for more books of course 🙂
I probably should part with that many books, but I just can’t do it. LOL Looks like you had a fun weekend.
What a fun weekend! Very cool prints, but no A/C in Texas! I don’t do well in the heat! I should do some weeding, too. I hope you found some good new reads.
Looks like a snazzy weekend to me! I need to cull some books and make a trip to Half-Price myself.
Sounds like a full weekend! I spent it lazy and listless, watching a film and reading — next weekend is my busy one!
There’s not much more that I like to eat than an omelette. My son asks me to make them for him, too, and that’s a good way to get vegetables in that boy! Yours looks scrumptious, and of course, I had to click on the link to see what book you’re reading. Looks great, too! Now I’ll have to add that to my list, but not BookMooch; I’m pouting about them. 😉
Anna – I used to hang on to books too but in the past few years I’ve changed my whole mindset about that. Granted I’m always buying new books so it’s not as if the shelves are ever empty 🙂
Danielle – I know, can you believe that? It really is a great studio but I prefer to go later in the year 🙂
Andi – Oh I miss the big HPB in Dallas. That place was great for getting lost in for hours!
Natalie @ Coffee & a Book Chick – Well, lazy weekends are sometimes just perfect too aren’t they? 🙂 I sort of wish we had lounged a lot more as it was hard to get back into the swing of things yesterday but oh well.
Bellezza – Aren’t omelettes wonderful? I love ’em! I’ve been going on BookMooch every few weeks to see if something new pops up but nothing. I hope you are able to get some good books!
Iliana…looks like you have an awesome weekend. Don’t you love getting rid of books, especially when you know new ones will be taking their place!
Sounds and looks like a lovely weekend!
You are too funny! Thanks for your photo tour. Love the cool drink..reminds me of when I pull up to Mac D’s and get my Vanilla Iced Coffee. Yum. I would even have it in the morning.
I have to get rid of more books. You inspire me.
Too funny! I thought you were showing us your trunk full of groceries. Now that’s my kind of shopping! Too bad they were going and not coming. I really need to drag some of my books up to half-price…
