We are getting ready to head back home so I’ve been trying to soak up as much as I can of all the things I enjoy when we are in Germany. The last few days we spent a bit of time at this bookstore (one of my absolute favorites), had dinner and lots of laughter with one of our friends in Braunschweig, and went to a family party.
Sunday we had really great weather and like many others around, we took our bikes out for a nice, long bike ride. This was taken near the windmill museum.
Of course after the bike ride, a stop at the Schlosscafe for cappuccino was in order. And, we also picked up some treats for an afternoon of cake and tea with my father-in-law.
Finally, to bring this back to books I’ve read seven books so far. This is definitely going to make September my best reading month this year. Gotta love vacation.
So, off to pack and take in another quick bike ride. I’ve missed reading your blogs sweet friends and I do look forward to reconnecting with you once I’m back home.
Seven books is amazing so far! Those pastries are making my mouth water.

7 books while on vacation?! I’m lucky if I read 7 pages. 😉
It looks like you’re having a grand time. I’ve been getting a lot of biking in myself, but you know, I’ve never gone for a ride while on vacation. Have to remember to look into that next time I’m out of town.
Those treats looks de-licious!!! So glad you’re having a wonderful time. Hopefully, the temps will continue to drop when you get home. Save travels!
You are so cute with your bike! What a great scene behind you, too!
