This month is just rushing by isn’t it? It’s been a few busy days at work and then last week I was having some technical issues at home but all is good and now we are in countdown mode looking forward to Christmas and a few extra days off.
I was at the bookstore this weekend and enjoyed reading a new magazine, Breathe. I don’t need to be reminded to take a break and keep calm but I sure wanted to share this with some of the store patrons. People are always in such a rush this time of the year right?
I’ve been looking for the latest Flow for Paper Lovers magazine but it looks like my B&N isn’t carrying it this year. Bummer. I love those special editions.
On the book front, I’m making a bit of progress on the stack of books I’m reading. I really enjoyed Our House by Louise Candlish and currently my top read is Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke. It has wonderful descriptions.
That’s it for now. Again, sorry for being so out of the loop lately. I hope you are all doing well and let me know what you are looking forward to for the holidays.
Things always get so busy this time of year… think we all need to remember to step back and breathe. Hope you have a very happy holiday week!
December is always a busy month, with the school holidays here and not to mention the festive holidays too. I hope you’ve a wonderful Christmas and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the books you read, especially “Our House”. 🙂
Attica Locke is such a good storyteller!
Glad to hear you’re avoiding the hecticness of this season. 🙂
For some reason, this year has not felt much like Christmas to me. The month has slipped by, and now the day is almost too close for comfort. I’ve avoided most of the hectic elements, but have not quite felt the cozy feeling. Don’t know what’s up with that. Anyway, good to hear you are making progress on your book stacks!
It’s a little scary how quickly this fall has flown by. I can’t believe in a week the holiday will be over and the end of the year approaching. I hope it slows down for you and you get a chance to enjoy a little breathing space. I have the Attica Locke on my pile and plan on starting it for the new year!
I’ve been out of the loop, too, but am finally getting back into my groove of blogging. I sure remember those customers when I worked at B&N. I wanted to shake several customers and say, “Christmas is always on December 25th. Why don’t you just plan a little further in advance next year and save yourself some anxiety?!” 🙂
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and that the new year brings you nothing but joy.
