We are half way through! Dewey posted this survey for a mini-challenge so here goes:
1. What are you reading right now? Sisters of Misery by Megan Kelley Hall
2. How many books have you read so far? 3
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Can you believe I didn’t plan ahead and so I’m not sure what I’m reading next.
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day? Well, we were supposed to have family in town but the are arriving tomorrow so we had a free day and I decided to join in the Read-A-Thon.
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Not interruptions but breaks. I’ve taken lots – actually I just finished taking a nap! ha.
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? That I’m still reading. Heh.
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Nope. It’s really great. The cheerleaders, the challenges, it’s all a lot of fun
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year? I think I’d like to try and just be a cheerleader one day so I could visit with a lot of the participants. I wanna see what everyone is reading!
9. Are you getting tired yet? A bit.
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? For readers, plan your stack of books otherwise you’ll be staring at the stacks wondering what to read next and wasting precious reading time. Spoken from experience. heh.
Happy halfway point! Good job!!
I think I am due a nap soon as defintely starting to tire. You are doing really well though having finished 3 books already.
Great job, keep it up!!!
I am cheerleading today (as well as reading my Bloglines which is why I am back here again so quickly). Interestingly one of the readers, and I can’t remember who) said that they found it easier to be a reader than to be a cheerleader!
You are doing great so far!
I’m not an official Cheerleader, but just chiming in to say GREAT JOB! Three books … that is amazing!
Great job! Glad you got a nap. I just may have to take one as well! Read on!
Wonderful job so far! I have also been taking a lot of little breaks which I think is helpful. No naps yet though, maybe as it gets later though 🙂
I think it’d be fun to be a cheerleader, too. I try to get around as much as I can during breaks, but I’m gluttonous and want to see what people are reading!
Glad you were able to join. It would be cool to be a cheerleader once, yeah, just to see which you like better, reading or cheerleading!
Being a cheerleader is fun, but I’m a little jealous of everyone who is reading for the day — I think it would be fun to set aside a day just to read. On the other hand, I also like getting to see all the blogs and feel good that I’m (hopefully) cheering people up.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the Read-a-Thon and don’t end up like this… http://www.ahajokes.com/crt579.html

Congratulations on making it half way! I am trying to go through and visit all the Readers of the Hour…so I’m a little behind! I’m not participating in any official capacity, but I wanted to see how the Read-a-Thon works. Maybe I’ll jump in next time. I don’t know if I would be as productive as you have been though-great progress!
softdrink – It was weird how fast we got to the halfpoint! Of course now it’s getting really hard 🙂
Rhiona – Actually I had started two of those before the read-a-thon but I’m still counting them 🙂
Maree – I kind of fell off the reading schedule there to go relax a bit but I think I made up for it. Now I wonder how late I’ll stay up!
Marg – I think if I could just keep reading and not be lured by the challenges and stuff then it’d be easier! haha.. Thanks for cheering me on!
Betty & Boo’s Mommy – You aren’t? Well, so sweet of you to drop in anyway! Thank you 🙂
Nise’ – I think the nap actually didn’t help too much because then I got a bit lazy! I should have just stuck with coffee. haha
Joanne – Have you had a nap yet?
Andi – Me too! 🙂
dewey – Maybe next time I’ll just be a cheerleader. Watch, then I’ll complain about all the reading I could be doing. haha.
Kim – I’ve gotta check out the link. I need some humor now! Thank you for cheering us on!
Dreamybee – Oh, I hope you’ll join in next time – it is so fun!
