I hadn’t mention all the bookish loot I got for Christmas as I was still waiting on some presents but boy did I get lucky.
My husband got me books for my bookbinding/craft library:
The books are Eco Books by Terry Taylor, Collage Lab by Bee Shay, Re-Bound by Jeannine Stein and Creative Paint Workshop for Mixed-Media Artists by Ann Baldwin. I’ve wanted all of these books since I saw them in the bookstore. They’ve got some wonderful projects that I’m looking forward to trying out as I continue to grow and learn.
And, he also got me some books that had been on my wish list. Aw, he does read my blog.
The books are Heartbroke Bay by Lynn D’Urso, How to Read the Air by Dinaw Mengestu and Family Album by Penelope Lively.
Needless to say, I’m a very happy Bookgirl. Of course I wish I could say I was set but you know that a bookworm is never set with enough books. Over the last few days I’ve used up my gift cards, some Borders Bucks I and I went to Half Price Books. I’ll let you know about those books in another post though because I’m still sorting my shelves.
What great gifts! And yay, the hubby does read the blog – don’t you just love that?
Awesome gifts! The ones about book binding etc… look really cool. How to Read the Air is on my booklist for my Lit class this spring. I’m excited to read it!
Lovely presents! I’ve put myself on a book buying ban so will have to live vicariously through other bloggers. Thanks for posting about your haul!
Wow!! Happy Dappy BookGirl 🙂
Lots of great books there Iliana…..after using a few gift cards, I am not planning new purchases for a while.
That is so sweet and thoughtful gift! My husband does not read my blog, but he will occasionally come home with something for me, and usually is a perfect fit for me. I’ve had my eye on How To Read the Air. I’ll be interested in what you think!
Some lovely books there. Hubby bought me some books from my wishlist too. I still need to write my Christmas loot post.
Happy reading, Iliana! You have some great books there! 🙂
New bookbinding techniques to try! Wonderful presents from Mr. BookGirl!
Enjoy all the new books.
Hi Everyone – I promise to show you any books I make based on those techniques. I can’t wait to try some of them! Woo-hoo. And, get ready to read more posts on books that are new to my shelves. I’ve been on a bit of a book binge 🙂
How awesome is that?! I can’t wait to read your thoughts on these books especially the craft ones.
Your books look great! I’m curious about the Penelope Lively. I like her a lot, but I haven’t read that particular one yet.
Wonderful books from your hubby! Enjoy them all and the inspiration they bring to you.
Lucky you! I only received a cookbook for Christmas, but I am enjoying my gift cards! 🙂 The craft books look great!
