I usually go to Poets.org when I want to read some poetry. It is a terrific source but being that it’s National Poetry Month I’ve been looking for all the poetry I can get. I’ve come up with some fabulous finds, and some that I know will become favorites.
- Poetry Foundation. They have podcasts, a blog and even a Poetry Tool that allows you to find a poem for special occasions. I’m going back to check out their latest podcast on The Joy of Sax by Billy Collins.
- If you want to test your poetry knowledge check out the poetry quiz by The Dallas Morning News. It was fun although I think they should have added a rating don’t you think? Not that I did that well on it or anything but I think most bookworms would like that sort of thing.
- Poetry Thursday is an online community for bloggers to share their love of poetry. I like the writing prompts.
- You can still sign up at the Borzoi Reader to get poems sent to your inbox daily. It’s a nice way to start the day I must say.
I haven’t decided yet which book to read for Poetry Month but I still plan on doing that, and Christine and I are planning to go check out a poetry reading somewhere in Dallas before the month is out.
So anyone else have any plans for celebrating poetry month? Or some favorite poetry sites to share?

I think I’m going to make this the month that I actually submit some poetry to be published. National poetry month is certainly the best time in my mind.
Cool links!
Nik – I think that’s a fabulous way to celebrate NPM. Go for it!
I also meant to say good luck Nik!
