Christine had a lovely post for National Poetry month and she’s inspired me to come up with a poem and picture. So I’ve spent a wonderful evening reading lots of poems and reminiscing with some of my travel photography. Here’s what I chose:
‘Twas such a little boat — little boat by Emily Dickinson
‘Twas such a little — little boat
That toddled down the bay!
‘Twas such a gallant — gallant sea
That beckoned it away!
‘Twas such a greedy, greedy wave
That licked it from the Coast —
Nor ever guessed the stately sails
My little craft was lost!
C’mon, now it’s your turn!

Great choice, and I love the pic, Iliana! It’s beautiful! 🙂
Oh wow, I need to read Emily Dickson then. And…
‘Twas such a b’ful, b’ful pic
That took my breath away 🙂
Love it! It made me laugh and I am not sure that it was supposed to. I am not really into poems and perhaps I should read more.
Love it! The pic and the poem. Emily rocks!
What a wonderful idea. I love it. feel free to add it to my Mr. Linky for National Poetry Month! And spread the word to others celebrating National Poetry Month
