Over the past few months I’ve been involved in some on-line craft groups. We share ideas and best of all we do swaps. We’ll do collage, books, Artist Trading Cards and a host of other paper projects and this Saturday I actually got to meet some of these on-line friends for the first time.
We shared some laughs and did a bit of show and tell with projects. We also visited some craft stores in the Dallas area. One place we visited was The Ole Moon, which is a store that specializes in handcrafted items. As I was looking around, I saw two handmade books that look exactly like the beaded journals I make. I wish I had thought to sell my little books, then I again I work too slow so I probably wouldn’t really make a profit.
Anyway we ended the day making a pit stop at Half Price Books. I tried to get away without buying anything but I had to take a peek at their clearance section and found When the Messenger is Hot by Elizabeth Crane for $1. Well, I couldn’t leave there now could I?
Oh and yes, and I did pick up my holds from the library. Wait until I tell you which one I started reading first. I’m going to decide tonight.
