Look at what we just got ourselves for Christmas. Now this is much better than the package I opened yesterday!
As it’s the family iPad I can imagine that it’ll be my husband who uses this the most but very excited to finally have one of these. I’m still not sure about ebooks. I think it’ll be great for travel but other than that I imagine that I’ll be sticking with my books. We’ll see. I’ll have to report later.
Now this does come at a perfect time as Sourcebooks has a wonderful promotion to celebrate Jane Austen’s birthday where you can download 16 ebooks! I’m off to check that out.
Oh and I just realize I really need to start putting my list together of my favorite books of the year, the problem is the book I’m currently reading may just end up on my list so I’m probably going to wait just a bit longer to have that ready. Have you got yours ready yet?
I don’t have a reader, but my husband has one for work and he left it behind while he went away on business. I just downloaded all those Jane books from Sourcebooks!!! He’s going to have to learn to share with me. 🙂
Yea, yea, yea!!! It is so so beautiful. I love all things Apple, and the iPad is no exception.
Merry Christmas to you! Enjoy.
YAY…we love our iPads – so tranportable.
The iPad is so cool but not in our budget right now unfortunately. Hope you enjoy it! I can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Unit. I really “enjoyed” that book.
Wow! I also got one as a gift this time!! I love reading eBooks on it 🙂 Finally I can read eBooks wherever I want.
What a nice present! My dad has an Ipad and I am constantly playing with it.
I have yet to pick out my favorite books of the year, although there are a few that I know will make it onto my list for sure. Otherwise, I will wait to the last minute to make a complete list.
Nice! If you try any ebooks on it please do share about it.
My hubby got one recently and i found it ideal to read books on. It is better than the Kindle as it it lit up and has touch screen.
Mine are written and scheduled to publish the week after Xmas! The crazy thing is, there were a couple that came in right under the wire at the end of the year. (Love your iPad!)
I have a Kindle and love it, but I like reading a combination of ebooks and print books. The best thing about ereaders is that you can download out-of-print books for free!
Fantastic! Enjoy it 🙂 And youve got the perfect novel up on the screen already.
I havent started my favorite reads of the year yet. The Recipe Club will be at the top of my favs this year.
Nice iPad! I started making my “best of” list but there so many books I want to read before the end of the year, that I think I’ll wait. Have a great weekend.
Oooooh, grabs through screen with greedy/grubby little hands. 😉 Enjoy the present to yourselves. We thought about it but we’re both trying to be more unplugged in 2011.
And keep us updated on the ebook thoughts. I’m still reluctant.
I love my iPad, but have only read one book on it since I got it last spring. Too many “real” books piling up around here to justify buying any ebooks. At least for now.
I’m working on my Best of 2010 list. I’ll probably post it around New Year’s.
Hey guys – I still haven’t used the iPad. I get the feeling this will become my husband’s iPad! haha….Looking forward to reading everyone’s best of lists and all that good stuff.
How exciting. I have a feeling you will love the iPad. I will definitely plan to buy one in the near future.
I want one of these so badly!!!! My dad’s hinted that he’s getting Jason and me one for Christmas, but it might just be talk…
I’m so jealous. I want an ipad! LOL I hope you get to use it. It looks like fun even if you don’t use it to read books.
