Next Tuesday is the annual nomination night for my Foreign Authors book group and I need some help. I’m trying to put my list together (everyone nominates four books) so if you’ve read a fantastic book by a non-American author please let me know.
We’ve been meeting for 13 years and thanks to this group I’ve discovered David Malouf, Pat Barker, Haruki Murakami, Christa Wolf, and the list goes on. Each year I always think our list looks better than ever and perhaps it’s because of the spirited discussions we have when choosing books. So thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Now on to the three day weekend! I plan on doing some crafty stuff, going to a photography exhibit, seeing a movie and of course spending time with books.
I’ll leave you with a few reviews of some recent enjoyable reads.
Borrowed Light by Joolz Denby
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards
Natural Flights of the Human Mind by Clare Morrall
Have a great weekend!
