Hi Friends and Happy Easter! How have you been? I’m sorry for my very sporadic posts. I don’t know what to tell you other than I feel like I can’t get back into a regular routine of blogging. Overall, this month I’ve been struggling a bit with a lack of motivation whether it’s for blogging, exercise or anything else. But spring is here and so hopefully I get my mojo back soon.
My reading this month has included several books but I’ve only finished two: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng and The Half Moon by Mary Beth Keane. Both authors I’ve read before but these books were not on par with my expectations. Especially The Half Moon, as I was really disappointed by that one.
Anyway sometimes that happens right?
Now that April is almost here I’m excited about National Poetry Month. I haven’t picked up a poetry collection yet this year but that will be my goal for April. I’m also very excited about this coming month as I have an in person bookbinding class I’ve signed up for. I’ve been doing online crafty classes this year but it’s been a long time since I’ve had an in person class – especially a bookbinding class!
I had planned to take off some time from work in March but that didn’t happen and I think I really need to do that in April. Unfortunately we don’t have any vacation plans this summer so I need to schedule some days off here and there so I can focus on my personal projects, rest and fun!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and here’s to a great month ahead!
Iliana, hope you had a nice weekend and Easter. Yes, spring seems to be here for sure. Such gorgeous bluebonnets everywhere and they are early, right? And the cedar is just now winding down. I’m sorry, but bluebonnets blooming and cedar pollen are not supposed to be around at the same time! Seriously – ha! Hope you enjoy your class and other projects. Take care!
I haven’t been feeling very motivated lately either. I’m grateful for a few days off this week to try and get back in the swing of living more joyfully. Hope you have a great week!
I hope you get your mojo back for reading & blogging, Iliana. I think we all go through these spells of not wanting to do much of anything except the essentials. I know that being a caretaker of one’s parent can be emotionally draining. I hope you can get some time off from work to enjoy the things you love. Take care of yourself.
I could use some motivation too and so if you find the secret ingredient to make it happen, please share! Haha. I hope you are able to take some time off this month, even if it’s a day here and there. You have so much on your plate and any little bit of time helps. Have a good April, Iliana!
