Time to say goodbye to another month. This week has been a bit hectic for me what with networking and other job hunt related things that I feel like I am more than ready for a weekend break. Of course, I’m thinking about how December is upon us and that usually flies by with all of the holiday happenings but I’m going to try and take deep breaths, relax and hopefully look forward to some great books.
November was a great reading month even though when I was thinking back to books read for a moment I thought I hadn’t made much progress but I finished five books in November and they were:
The Nearness of You by Dorothy Garlock
Three Floors Up by Eshkol Nevo
The Loving Husband by Christobel Kent
Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
The Folded Clock by Heidi Julavits
The only one I wasn’t too fond of was The Loving Husband. My favorite of all these was definitely Three Floors Up by Eshkol Nevo. I have another of his books on my shelves so I’m excited to read more by this author. And, I know you are tired of me saying, I’m behind on reviews but I am! My goal is to get all my mini reviews done in the month of December. We’ll see how that goes.
I have some bookish fun to look forward to in December as my book group celebrates the end of the year with a little dinner and book exchange. There are also new reading challenges to make, take stock of the whole year and plan for the next. I can’t believe that’s so soon. As if that weren’t enough, I just saw a list on Book Riot about the 101 Books to look forward to in 2018. Ack, my reading list just exploded.
Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous weekend and let me know what you are looking forward to in December!
I haven’t heard of Three Floors Up, but I just checked it out and it looks interesting. I also just checked out the link for 101 Books and have only read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black (thanks to NetGalley) , which I enjoyed, but now want the next one posthaste–and will have to wait another year.
Can’t believe December is already here! Looks like you’d a great reading month in November, Iliana. I’m intrigued with The Cruel Prince by Holly Black after checking out the Book Riot link so I’ll have to check that out once it’s released.
I am both glad and sad December is here. I always hate to see a year come to an end, but this has been a long one, and a mixed one at that. It sounds like you had a good November in reading. Magpie Murders is a book I have been wanting to read for quite a while. I hope you have a great December, Iliana!
Good luck with the job hunting. I can’t believe December is here. time flies! Your book group sounds fun, enjoy 🙂
I don’t even dare look at the list of books on Book Riot! My TBR list is too long as it is. 😀
