For a while there I thought I was going to only have one book read for February but that’s because I’ve been juggling more than my usual 3-4 books. In the end, February was a winner because I read some fantastic books. I would say all of the ones I read I would recommend.
The books I read were: Daisy In Chains by Sharon Bolton, One Secret Thing by Sharon Olds, A Small Death in the Great Glen by A.D. Scott, Confessions by Kanae Minato and The Lost Woman by Sara Blaedel.
I have my crime fiction, two books in translation and a poetry collection covered. I will try to do some quick writes up of these and let you know more about them.
Moving into March I am carrying over three books but you know I’m eyeing all those shelf sitters, library books and ARCs. Our office typically gets kind of quiet in mid-March due to a lot of employees taking time off for their kids’ spring break and I’m a bit jealous. I wish I had spring break to look forward to so I could enjoy some books and rest.
Anyway, how about you, how was your reading month? Any reading plans for March?
I am hoping to just read in March. I really struggled with that in February….
I’ve got lots of great books on my shelves and on audio. My plan – read, read, read…and do more walking and book listening. Now that the cedar is gone, I can take a walk outside. Daylight savings time is coming and there will be time in the evenings. Hope you get a lot of reading time this month, Iliana.
Glad to hear you enoyed your February reading so much: hope March holds more of the same kind of satisfaction for you. Although I can see where you might long for having a preplanned holiday in March, I wonder whether those with kids really get any reading done in that time: I never did and was always exceedingly grateful for the following Monday! *giggles* My February was relatively quiet reading-wise, but I am looking forward to things being busier on the page this month. *crosses fingers*
Glad February turned out so well! Hope March is off to a good start!
I’m glad to hear you’d a great reading month in February, Iliana. These days I’ve been reading as much as I can considering I’ve borrowed a lot from the library. I love seeing new books on their shelves, and I’m sure many of us do, too! Can’t resist the temptation, right? 🙂
Hope March is another great reading month for all of us.
I like Goodreads and try to post my current reads and reviews there all the time. Forgotten Girls sounds good. Right now I have have so many books I want to read but find myself wasting time playing Yahtzee and Scrabble obsessively on my phone…..sigh
