- Strange Bird by Anna Jansson
- Total Chaos by Jean-Claude Izzo
- The Fort by Aric Davis
- Killer’s Art by Mari Jungstedt
- A Girl Like You by Maureen Lindley

So, I know what I’ll be doing this weekend… trying to fit these books on my bookshelves! Let me know if you’ve read some of these and what you thought. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and more book talk soon.

I started In The Shadow of the Banyan but got side tracked by another book. I am looking forward to getting back into it. I have read maybe books set in India but never Vietnam so I’m excited for that.
I’ve heard really good things about The Silent Wife and In the Shadow of the Banyan. I actually read another book that was about a little girl that survived the Khmer Rouge, and when I wasn’t all that thrilled with it, everyone told me this was a better book.
Wow! Those will keep you busy for a while!
Good luck trying to cram them into the shelves. I’m having the same problem with all the new books I acquired this month. Ack!
You are lucky! Happy reading 🙂 They all look good, especially The Girl in Berlin. Enjoy!
I do hope you “enjoy” The Silent Wife–I found it quite well done.
And Strange Bird! I really liked this one, partly because it gave me a new author, and I look forward to more of her translations!
You’ve got some other titles that I’m interested in, too. Good haul, girl.
You’ve got some busy reading ahead of you!
Kim – I don’t recall reading a book with a Vietnamese setting either so I’m looking forward to that book. I can imagine it may be quite a sad read though so I’m sort of trying to find the right time to read it if that makes sense!
Sandy – I’m looking forward to both reads. Hope you are having a blast on your vacation. I saw your list of books!
Stefanie – I was busy just organizing them! 🙂
Andi @ Estella’s Revenge – Unfortunately books are starting to pile up on the floor by the shelves. Oh goodness!
Bookworm – I love the cover for that book!
jenclair – I am looking forward to both books. If only I had more time! 🙂
Serena – I know right? And, I got very little reading done this weekend. Oh well, there’s always the next one!
I’m reading Total Chaos now and it’s excellent. I also read The Girl in Berlin and thought it well done, too. I have a couple of the same books–the two Scandinavian titles which I can’t wait to read. Lots of good stuff there! 🙂
The Girl in Berlin sounds fantastic. I can’t wait for your thoughts on it.
Some very interesting choices here that I need to add to my “want to read” list. 🙂
Danielle – So excited to hear that! My mystery group is reading that next month so I’m saving it until then.
Anna (Diary of an Eccentric) – I saw a title recently the Man from Berlin. Now I’m thinking I should read both back to back. Ha.
Christine – Let me know if you want me to send you one of these girl!
You’ve got some great titles there, Iliana! I haven’t heard of several but now they are on my wish list. 🙂
