A couple of weeks ago I had placed some holds at my library and they all came in last week but being that I got sick, the library was closed for the holiday, etc. meant that I lost my holds. A bummer but I can always place those books on hold again and in the meantime I did borrow a few others. Here’s what I got:
Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions by Mario Giordano. Recently widowed Auntie Poldi movies to Sicily to enjoy the sea but she finds the corpse of a young man on the beach and is now she is in right in the middle of a murder investigation. I love a good mystery and this sounds fun.
The Years That Followed by Catherine Dunne. Sweeping across the lush European backdrops of Spain, Greece, and Ireland, the story is of  two wronged women who plot for revenge. Their intricately crafted schemes will send shockwaves through their families that will echo for many generations to come.
Dead Letters by Caite Dolan-Leach. I think this one has gotten quite a lot of buzz. This story is about a missing woman leads her twin sister on a twisted scavenger hunt that promises to keep you guessing until the end.
Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought. I’m not sure which one I’ll start with first. Decisions, decisions.
I have a copy of DEAD LETTERS that I haven’t read yet. I find that cover disturbing somehow. Ha! Glad you are feeling better. The weather we’ve had lately, all the humidity, not so great for allergies and respiratory things.
I haven’t read any of your new library books, but they do sound good, especially Dead Letters.
I’m interested in Dead Letters!
