As soon as my husband gets home from work we are off to the bookstore. I’ve got a little Borders Rewards to use and as I still need some Christmas presents I think this is perfect timing. Granted, I’ll probably end up finding things for myself instead. That tends to happen a lot.
Anyway I did say that I was going to tell you about some mystery books I’ve read and I just haven’t gotten around to writing about them all but I did post my review on Deadly Advice by Roberta Isleib. A great mystery and first in the series. Hmm, maybe I’ll use my Borders Rewards to get the second book in the series.
Let’s see, other weekend plans include going to the library to return some books, catching up with my latest issue of Bound & Lettered and hopefully finishing some books. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Have a good time! I finished up my Christmas shopping today. Visited two bookstores and didn’t pick up one book for myself–but only because I’m afraid I’ll get whatever I might buy for Christmas. 🙂 I did buy books for my husband, which he’ll find under the tree on Christmas Day. I might just want to read them too.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Have fun at the bookstore with your hubs. I can’t wait to go to bookstores when I’m home. There’s nothing better than a good cup of coffee and a nice book browse.
Have fun and find some good books! (something for yourself, as well as for gifts…)
I’m sure you will have a good time at the bookstore! I went yesterday and already bought three books! I just can’t leave a bookstore empty handed, LOL!
Literary Feline – We had a good time but can you believe I walked out without a book?! I’m going to the library today so I’m sure I won’t be walking out empty-handed 🙂
aka Nik – Exactly! That’s my idea of a fun evening out 🙂
Dorothy W. – I think I need to go back. I didn’t get anything for myself!
Melody – I know, it’s hard to not want to get something right? Actually I was looking for one book but they didn’t have it. Hmm, maybe another trip is in order!
That is so great that you and your hubby can actually go to a store together, lol. He says going into a store with me is worse than getting a tooth pulled and he refuses to go into a bookstore with me. I honestly don’t think 2 hours is too long to browse!! lol
April – I am so lucky my husband enjoys the bookstore as much as I do. And, I know what you mean, 2 hours isn’t that long 🙂
