No, not me (at least not yet – hee), but the Schiller Society in Germany and a local publisher have decided that the way young people will get interested in Friederich von Schiller’s poetry is by turning him into a comic book hero.
The book will focus on his desire to live for writing. They don’t mention what kind of super powers he will have – is it paper that automatically corrects typos or a pen that will cure writer’s block?
Seriously, I think this is a great idea. Hell, anything to get people interested in all aspects of literature.
Who would I pick as the next Super Poet? Pablo Neruda and Jaime Sabines come to mind.
Who would you pick?
