I finished The Weight of Heaven today (more on this book later) and now I don’t know which book to dive into.
Part of me thinks I should start a good historical and By Fire, By Water seems like it would fit the bill perfectly. But it’s evening and I don’t know how gruesome the scenes of the Inquisiton will be so I don’t know that I want to be thinking about that before falling asleep.
I wouldn’t mind starting a book from a favorite mystery series like Close to Home or maybe starting a new series with The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.
Should I go with a novel in translation such as The Unit which is from a Swedish author?
Goodness, tonight is just one of those nights were I can’t figure out what to read next. What do you do? Stare at your stacks or just grab a book and go with it? I’ll let you know which book I ended up selecting tomorrow.
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. :o)
I really liked The Unit. You should pick that one! 😉
Veens – I really want to read it! 🙂
Anna – Man, I almost picked it up but I ended up going with another one 🙂
I’m facing this same dilemma as I get ready to hop on an airplane tomorrow for my holiday. I just can’t seem to settle on the books that I want to bring with me. I look forward to hearing about the book that you end up choosing!
They all sound good so I can see while this is a toss-up! I am sure you will make the perfect choice…..
I have By Fire, By Water in my TBR. I know what you mean, it can be hard trying to pick the next read.
I’ve only read Sweetness at the Bottom of the pie, and liked it a lo!
I stare at my stacks and pull a few that look good and go from there! I just started a couple of new books for my break from work–yay. I’d love to read The Unit, by the way. I also have it to read! Have fun choosing something new.
I really want to read By Fire, By Water so I will vote for that one!
Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie! Although I haven’t read the others so that’s not really fair. 🙂 I usually just pick a book and go with it. And then pick another and start than one too. 🙂
