I feel like I’ve been in a trance all day. You see, I just couldn’t stick with my current reads any longer, and I had to start Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Thank goodness for the ice/snow day we had today because I got to stay home and read.
And, what a great read this book has been so far. It’s so addictive. The only thing that would have made this better was if I would have been brave enough to go out to the coffee shop to get a big, yummy hazelnut latte. Anyway, I know there are a lot of you out there who’ve already read this so thank you for the recommendation!
Sorry to make this so short but I have to get back to it now. I must finish it tonight. I need to know how it ends.

Isn’t it fun? Can’t wait to get hold of New Moon!
I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I LOVE my little hamndmade book! I feel so special! I had no idea the prize was going to be one of YOUR creations!
At U of Alabama, where I got my masters, they also had a book art degree on the same floor. I won some books made by the 2004 class. My neice also made us a little book for Christmas last year. This is going to make one fabulous display!!!
Thank You, Thank You, And Thank You!
Oops, *blush* handmade.
Ha! I KNEW you’d love it! Isn’t it a great feeling to get so completely sucked into a book? Let me warn you–you’re probably going to want to go snatch up New Moon immediately upon completion of Twilight. DO IT! I went through both books in all their heft in 2.5 days (and that’s only because I had to work).
I agree with Andi. Once I was finished with Twilight I rushed to the library and read New Moon. Now, we all have to wait until this fall for Eclipse. Glad you are enjoying it! Sometimes you just need a fun, easy read.
Isn’t it good? New Moon is good also.
And, to think this is her first novel. I wonder what she wrote before this, that is hidden in her desk drawer.
Hee hee. I’m so glad you like it too! I still can’t put on my finger on just what it is about this book; I guess it’s just because it’s a great story. Yep, definitely expect to get New Moon. It’s equally obsessable.
Seems like everyone in the blogosphere loves this book. I also gave in and bought New Moon when i spotted it in Hodges Figgis, there was only one copy so I had to act quickly. Or at least that was my justification 🙂
Another reader has been consumed by Twilight! 🙂 I understand that completely!
When you’ve read Twilight and New Moon, make sure to check out Stephenie’s website. She has the first chapter of Midnight Sun, the first chapter of Twilight but written from Edward’s perspective, as well as lots of other outtakes and short pieces. You’ll definitely want to read them all!!!
And then we’ll all have to wait impatiently for Eclipse’s release this Fall!
Seems like a bunch of people are either reading this or New Moon right now…must be very good winter reading.
I want to get snowed-in so I can read all day! 🙁
Ok, so I was one of those who braved it into work yesterday but I was able to take the train. It meant I had at least some time to read on the ride to work and back! Saying that — none of our admin came in so lucky me got to answer the phones. I think I should have stayed home so I could really get into Snow, which seemed very appropriate yesterday….
That book sounds intriguing….so I am glad that you had a good reason to stay home and snuggle up to good book. So….what did you think?
I am in the middle of the sequel, New Moon. While it is not quite as good as the first, it is still a page turner! Rarely can I read a 500+ page so fast! It was on my queue at the library, so I dropped everything to read it. At least it is a fast read!
Hope it carried on just as good!!
I finished it you guys! It was so very, very good. I can’t wait to get New Moon. I’ll post more tonight! 🙂 Oh and Maggie – so glad you got your little book 🙂
Enjoy! Maybe this is another for the TBR…?
This really does seem to be the hip thing right now. I’ve got a hold on for a copy of Twilight. I should probably put a hold on New Moon, too, just so I can read them back to back. Can’t wait. (And I don’t do vampire books normally.)
I read Twilight last weekend, and I plan to start New Moon today! Yay for giant ice storms that cancel school for a week and trap us in our houses.
LK – Definitely 🙂
Melissa – I know, I was a bit afraid of the hype.
Adrienne – We may get another ice storm tomorrow! keeping my fingers crossed 🙂
I’m desperate to read Twilight, but can’t find it in any library or bookstore here yet. Sigh. Must be patient.
Lazy Cow – So glad you found me again. Bloglines can be odd sometimes can’t they. I hope you find Twilight soon. You must join all of us who’ve been bitten by the twilight bug 🙂
