Hello December

I hope you all had a great weekend. We enjoyed spending time with friends, doing a bit of shopping (Renegade Craft Fair) and sleeping in late. Unfortunately somehow I didn’t get a chance to do as much reading as I would have liked. I should be doing a wrap up post on German Literature Month but I’m still reading the four books books I started so I may be wrapping this up in another month – I hope so anyway!

November was the slowest reading month I’ve had all year. I only finished two books. Ah well, let’s see if I can read a bit more in December.

textilebooksLet me tell you though about my find at the craft fair. I stopped at the Little Red Leaves booth, which featured poetry chapbooks hand-sewn using recycled textiles. Isn’t that great? It took me a while to find a book but I ended up choosing Lucky by Mairéad Byrne.

The book with the bird is actually a blank book. It’s only 36 pages but it’s so cute. I looked on their website but I don’t find the blank books online. I love supporting other journal makers.

Now there are still a couple of hours left to the weekend so I’m going to close up here and try to get a bit more reading done. Next post I’ll try to fill you in on some of the ARCs that have arrived recently.
