I hope you all had a great weekend. We enjoyed spending time with friends, doing a bit of shopping (Renegade Craft Fair) and sleeping in late. Unfortunately somehow I didn’t get a chance to do as much reading as I would have liked. I should be doing a wrap up post on German Literature Month but I’m still reading the four books books I started so I may be wrapping this up in another month – I hope so anyway!
November was the slowest reading month I’ve had all year. I only finished two books. Ah well, let’s see if I can read a bit more in December.
Let me tell you though about my find at the craft fair. I stopped at the Little Red Leaves booth, which featured poetry chapbooks hand-sewn using recycled textiles. Isn’t that great? It took me a while to find a book but I ended up choosing Lucky by Mairéad Byrne.
The book with the bird is actually a blank book. It’s only 36 pages but it’s so cute. I looked on their website but I don’t find the blank books online. I love supporting other journal makers.
Now there are still a couple of hours left to the weekend so I’m going to close up here and try to get a bit more reading done. Next post I’ll try to fill you in on some of the ARCs that have arrived recently.
Good for you to be reading the end of the weekend! I will not get any reading done tonight, but hope fully tomorrow 🙂
I didn’t finish anything in November so you are doing better than me! I am not having a very good reading year… Those journals are cute! Hope you had a nice evening. 🙂
Enjoy your reading! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I tried to comment on your Dracula post, but couldn’t. Have you read The Historian yet?
Even though many of us had time off, it wasn’t good reading time. My reading hasn’t been all that productive either, but I’ve stopped worrying about it. Back to the grind today!
Glad you had such a lovely weekend. Those journals are seriously cute.
Those are seriously gorgeous books! And that’s awesome that you try to help support and encourage other bookmakers. As it should be!
Those poetry books are beautiful!
The books are beautiful, Iliana. I hope you have a wonderful December. I imagine my reading will be rather sparse for the rest of the year. I hardly read at all during the Thanksgiving break. 🙁
Wow! I just love, love, love the covers for both of those. What great picks 🙂 I didn’t have a bad month of reading in November but I’m hoping to read more in December (since I have the end of the year..need to read all of the books itch). I hope that you had a great weekend!
