Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
Song of the Witches by William Shakespeare
Happy Halloween everyone! I’ve got lots of candy and am ready to see some trick-or-treaters. Last year we had quite a bunch show up at our house.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to my R.I.P. read but I’m actually reading another book that I think would fit, The Cradle In the Grave by Sophie Hannah. It hasn’t been as suspenseful as I was hoping for but I do like that I’m not sure which character I believe. I like it when one minute you think one is the bad guy and the next you are certain it’s someone else.
Anyway, stay tuned because next up I’ve got some booklists. I was at the bookstore this weekend and I have added some new books to my radar.
Have fun with the kiddies.
Some families have moved into our area, so we will be handing out candies also. However, I’ve been eating some of them…
Happy Halloween, Iliana!
We have given exactly 5 minutes of thought to Halloween in the Nawrot household. We live down a private drive so we don’t get trick-or-treaters. We go over to a friends house…we will see tonight what the kids end up wearing! Too much other stuff going on. Have a fun evening!
My own R.I.P. choices weren’t too impressive this year, but at least I’ve gotten some good titles from other blogs.
Have fun tonight!
Happy Halloween!!! Sorry you didn’t get to the planned RIP book, but it sounds like your current read fits the bill quite nicely!
Happy Halloween Iliana, enjoy the evening and the candy! 🙂
Happy Halloween!
Hope you had a fun Halloween!
Hope you had a fun and spooky Halloween Iliana!
Hope your Halloween was a happy one. I know we planned for many more trick or treaters than we got, so a lot of candy was taken to both of our work places to give to our employees. Not sure if that is a nice thing for us to do or not, LOL!
