Hey Friends! I meant to write a couple of other posts before taking off on vacation but you know how that is. There was much to do before our trip but now we are in Germany. Yay!
Jet lag hit me pretty hard the first day so I feel like I’ve already lost one day of vacation. That’s ok, I made up for it today by going on a couple of bike rides.
I have already indulged in my favorite bakery items, have done lots of lounging around and have read two books. Now this is vacation.
The weather is nice and fresh, which of course is great for bike riding. Hopefully it’ll remain like this for a while yet.
Oh yes, I also had two books waiting for me: Henrietta’s War by Joyce Dennys (a Bloomsbury Group book) and Patience by John Coates (a Persephone book). My father-in-law also gave me a cool vintage book. I’ll have to take a picture of later to show you the binding and the typography.
Anyway, so that’s the scoop. I will try to do a bit of blog reading but I’m sure I’ll be very behind. So fill me in on what’s going on will you? I will also try to post some pics from our travels. We’ll be going to some new cities soon so I’m excited about that.
Hope you are all having a great week and hope you are reading some great books!
Wow Germany! Sounds amazing! Enjoy!
Oh, I hope you’re having a wonderful time and that the jet-lag is but a distant memory! I hope to travel to Germany someday. I’ve been to England, but that’s about it, other than Mexico & Canada. Enjoy your vacation. I’m sure it’s much cooler than TX!!
How exciting! I hope you have a really great time–lots of fun things to do and yummy things to eat and it sounds like you’ll be able to read, too! Looking forward to seeing lots of pictures and you’ll have to share your adventures, too!
Fun! Have a great vacation!
Have fun on your annual adventure!
Enjoy! I know your trip is such a fun time for you guys. Glad it’s off to a relaxing start.
Enjoy your vacation. Read to your heart’s content and eat a chocolate for me.
