I didn’t mean to take a break from the blog all week but it’s been a bit hectic here at Casa Bookgirl. I’ve been bookbinding a lot, which is so good for my creative soul. The studio tour is next weekend and I have a lot to prepare for that but what I find interesting is that I don’t feel overwhelmed. Normally, my response to all that I have going on would be to feel frustrated and less than but maybe all the yoga has been helping me find serenity amidst all the goings-on. Of course remind me about this by the end of next week and I’ll let you know if it still holds true. Ha.
However speaking of yoga, I am having to scale back my practice somewhat and just focus on more restorative and gentle classes. I have shoulder tendonitis and now have to go through some physical therapy in the next few weeks. I’m a bit bummed out but in a way spending more time in restorative classes may be just what I need as the holidays are coming up. Those classes always make me feel so relaxed and just happy.
Now what is going on with this blog? Well, I do have so many bookish things to tell you about but my postings in the next coming week will more than likely be quite slim. I apologize to my blog friends for not staying in touch very much and I’ll try to sneak in some coffee breaks as I’m bookbinding to have a peek at what you’ve been reading this week.
For now, I’m just waiting for my husband to get home so we can go out for our date night at the bookstore. I need a bit of a breather away from all the paper and glue. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
hey iliana…take all the time you need for you; we’ll be here when you return.
Don’t you worry about a thing — I’m not going anywhere from following your blog — but I want to see some pictures of this book-binding you’re doing! I’m wicked interested to learn about this — it seems fascinating and if it’s keeping you happy, it must be fun!!
I’m excited to hear how your studio tour goes. You have been working so hard on it and I”m sure it will be a great success.
Don’t forget to take lots of pictures of the studio tour! Your workspace, journals, visitors, etc. Restorative yoga is good for the soul (and the blood pressure), so enjoy!
No worries, Iliana! Take care and I hope you’ve a great week ahead! 🙂
Dont worry about it, I’ve been MIA from my blog this past week also. Good luck with the studio tour!
I definitely understand the need to take a blogging break. Have fun with the bookbinding and good luck with next week’s tour. Be sure to take pictures! 🙂
You know you could post pics of your book binding 🙂 I love those, but if you cannot – don’t worry about it.
Don’t stress, I will be here.
Thank you guys for all your support! I had a very productive weekend and am very excited about the show. I promise to post pics! 🙂
Yay for all the bookbinding! The studio tour is sure to be a success. Sorry to hear about your tendonitis. I hope the physical therapy helps and you feel right as rain soon.
Thank you Stefanie. I’m definitely taking it easy with yoga. I notice one particular movement really bothers me so not doing that until I can get this tendonitis thing under control. Bleh.
Date night at the bookstore?!? I’m jealous! 😉
Oh sorry you’re having to go through physical therapy, that must be a pain and I know it sucks to be kept from your relaxing exercise because of an injury.
Good luck on the studio tour! I’m sure it’s going to go so well for you 🙂
