Here are some of the books that are currently on my nightstand:
Transgressions by Sarah Dunant. This book is a bit unnerving to say the least. There’s a stalker, a big house and a lonely woman. Read it with the lights on.
The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G.Wells. I didn’t know anything about this book aside from the fact that it was science fiction but I am surprised at how much I’m enjoying it. I think I’ll finish this on time for the Slaves discussion.
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards. I can see why this is the book of the summer as some people have been calling it. Family secrets, guilt and regrets make this an interesting read.
Past Reason Hated by Peter Robinson. A good whodunit so far marks this fifth novel in the Inspector Banks series.
I should be done with a couple of these books very soon. Who knows I may even stay up late tonight and finish one. After all, there’s a thunderstorm going on right now that’s likely to keep me awake all night.
