I’m not ready to show you my stories I’ve written for class yet, but here are more observations from class this evening.
You know you are taking a creative writing class in Texas when:
- One story is set in an Ag Shop
- Another student writes about John Deere tractors
- Some dialogue includes the phrase, “we’ve just got to pack up and git.”
And here’s me, the Latina writing about santitos and crazy familias. I guess it is true about writing what you know.
