Hi Friends! Hope you’ve all been enjoying the month. I feel like between now and the end of the year, it’s all going to go by in a blur. I’ve still been quite busy at work and lately when I come home I find my energy is going more towards some of my crafting. As I was going to do some bookbinding that meant I really wanted a clean craft table and I swear it took me a whole evening to clear off one of my craft tables.
Which goes into what I’ve been up to… organizing! I’m waiting for some storage bins I bought which will go in the closet of my studio so I can organize some of my smaller items like stamps, ribbons, etc. There have been times when I’ve been crafting and end up spending too much time on trying to locate items! For those of you who are crafters, please tell me I’m not alone in this. Ha.
On the book front, I have seven books I’m juggling and I just wish I had more time to devote to my books. I’m not sure how much extra time I’ll have between now and the end of the year though as I usually end up bookbinding a bit more to get some orders out, etc. but hopefully I’ll still make my Goodreads reading goal.
So that’s about it on my end. I hope you are having a great week and more book talk soon!
I’ve been juggling books, too, but not in a good way. The DNF list has been long, lately. Organization escapes me in the craft room–I start and then find something which gives me an idea and start making a bigger mess. I do spend a lot of time looking for something, but when I try to organize, it turns into a treasure hunt. “Oooh, I forgot about this (stencil, stamp, pretty paper, UFO!” and on and on. Good luck with your efforts, Iliana.
Good luck with your organizing! I probably should do some of that, too. But when it starts getting cold outside I just want to curl up under a blanket with a good book and do nothing. 🙂
There is something about this time of year that has me itching to organize my closets and shelves. Is it the anticipation of making room for items I’ll receive as birthday and Christmas gifts? Is it a “nesting” instinct that occurs every winter? Who knows, but I’m ready to tackle some of my clutter. It’s getting chilly on the coast (50s) and I should take advantage of the dry weather and go outside for a walk, but I’m playing nursemaid to my husband who just had surgery (gall bladder) and my mom who is battling a bad chest cold. Might be a good day to stay inside and sip some tea, read and work on a puzzle. Hope you have a good weekend!
Last month seemed to be my month for reading. This month I am just not hitting the books as much. So much else to do and keeping me distracted. I wish you luck with your organizing. I really want to do some over this coming Thanksgiving break. I took the week off and I’ll put my daughter to work. 🙂 I hope you have a great week.
Enjoy the cleaning up. You will find something that you forgot about (that happens to me when I organize).
My work has an employee newspaper, and the editor wants a book review for Christmas. I am trying to find a non-depressing book to talk about. I mostly read dystopian novels.
