Happy Mother’s Day to all my friends. Hope you’ve all had a wonderful time with your families. I didn’t mean to take off a couple of days from the blog but this month seems to be flying by doesn’t it?
Anyway, with regards to reading news I went to the library this weekend to pick up a hold and luckily I walked away with just that book. I have several library books checked out from other visits but I feel like I probably need to put a halt to my borrowing for some time. Don’t get me wrong, I love the library but my personal collection keeps growing. I also have a lot of ARCs. So I probably need to focus on those for a while.
This weekend I started reading Deadline by John Sandford. I know a lot of you have probably read books from his popular Prey series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it’s for my book group read. It’s been a good read so far but I had to put it aside for the book I checked out yesterday.
It’s been a long time since I read an Amanda Quick book but ‘Til Death Do Us Part is proving to be a fun book. It is a historical romance novel but it’s also has a nice bit of mystery. The hero is a mystery writer and the heroine is an intelligent businesswoman.
Unfortunately no bike rides this weekend and a very quick stop at the bookstore but overall it was a nice and relaxing weekend. Hope you all have a great week ahead!
Glad you had a good weekend!!
I see books by Sandford all the time, but I have never read one. I have read a couple of Amanda Quick’s but not in a long time. Having one of the characters a mystery writer sounds interesting.
I am glad to hear you are enjoying Amanda Quick’s book. I would like to read that one too. I haven’t read any of her previous books. I’ve only read one Sanford book and enjoyed it. I hope you are enjoying your week, Iliana!
Sounds like a nice weekend. I know what you mean about the library books. I have slowed down considerably at borrowing for the moment in hopes to catch up with a few things!
I’m glad you’d a wonderful weekend, Iliana.
I returned my library books last week and didn’t borrow any. I figured I better make a dent out of my pile first before I’ll be visiting the library again.
Happy reading!
