The suitcases are back in the closet for now. Monterrey was a lot of fun and it was great to see my family. I didn’t take my camera this time because I didn’t think I’d be out and about but wouldn’t you know it, one of my cousins took me to this fabulous park where we got to see some very cool exhibits. Ah well, next time my camera won’t stay behind.
I didn’t get to go to the bookstore this time but one of my aunts was a total sweetie and surprised me with El Plan Infinito by Isabel Allende. It’s been years since I’ve read an Allende book. This may be a sign that I should get reacquainted with this author.
So I’ve actually been back home since Friday but I’ve been so busy that I just haven’t been able to spend much time at the computer. This weekend aside from organizing we went to the movies to see Into the Wild. I really liked this movie and now regret not having read the book before. The other fun thing we did this weekend was going to see this exhibit at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Of course now I feel like I’ve been gone forever…. What have I missed? Please tell me no new reading challenges have been announced! heh. I look forward to catching up with all you guys.
Welcome back!
Welcome back! About new reading challenges, well… ;p
Another good trip under your belt! Now you can settle in for some long reading sessions.
hehe reading challenges galore. I discovered A Novel Challenge – fabulously evil web site.
Glad you had a good trip! I’m curious about the museum. We haven’t made it there yet.
Welcome back, glad you had a nice trip.
Why don’t you make up a Challenge, now that you are a lady of leisure?
aka Nik – Thank you!
tanabata – I know right 🙂
jenclair – Exactly what I’m thinking of!
Heather T – I found that blog too. Very evil indeed 🙂
Tiffany – I love both the Kimball and the Modern so hope you get to check those out soon.
Tara – Thank you!
Isabel – But then that would mean my leisure time would be gone! ha,ha,ha…. I’ll check out the challenges and see what’s new. I still would like to do the one I told you about a while back but we’ll see.
Man! 2 trips in such a short time! Lucky girl, you are! Sounds like fun. And yes, there are even MORE challenges, since you’ve been gone!
Welcome back!
Yup, lots of new challenges that I’ve been more or less able to resist… I wonder how long that’s gonna last 😛
Welcome back! Those sculptures look amazing!
Hehehe. I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had time to blog-hop as much as I’d like and I had no idea you’d gone and returned! 😉
Glad you had a good trip!
I read Into the Wild last year and really enjoyed it, so I’m looking forward to the movie, although I’ve heard that it kind of vilifies the parents, which is not how they’re presented in the book.
Stephanie – I do love to travel! I know, the challenges keep sprouting up don’t they? So fun.
Nymeth – Ha,ha. I know, I try and resist but there’s already several I want to join.
Stefanie – I wish they had let us take photos because it would have been great to show the perspective. The woman in the bed is huge.
Les in NE – Ha,ha. I totally understand. I’ve only been gone a week from blogland and already feel like I’m eons behind. I miss everyone.
Lesley – Ooh, that’s interesting to hear. I can’t believe I was never interested in the book either. I don’t know what I imagined but now I really would like to read it.
Glad you had a great time!
