Our book group night was a great success. We nominated 40 books so it will be hard to narrow down the list to 11 books. We’ll find out next month which books made the cut.
So while I was busy looking for books to nominate, I also found a lot of new Fall books that I have added to my TBR list. Here are some of the books that caught my attention:
The End of Mr. Y by Scarlett Thomas – One reviewer said it is reminiscent of The Shadow of the Wind, which I loved, so it goes on my list.
What is Mine by by Anne Holt – A Scandinavian thriller set in Norway. I’m always on the look out for new mysteries.
The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox – It’s a story about a 19th century book lover, scholar and murderer. It sounds good to me.
Paint it Black by Janet Fitch – I really liked White Oleander so I’m curious to see how her latest novel compares.
Girls in Peril by Karen Lee Boren – A coming of age story.
How about you? Which Fall books are you looking forward to?
I compiled these and many more titles from Booksense, Discover Great New Writers and Pages Magazine.
