Remember a few weeks ago I was talking about a missing book? I found it! I knew I had Cotillion by Georgette Heyer somewhere and it was where I suspected it would be – at my in-law’s. So yes, this means I’m finally on my much needed vacation.
The temperatures that greeted us here in Germany are such a nice break from the recent 113 we had in Austin. I’ve just arrived and have already visited the bakery twice. I love this. I found my book. And, I just got a bike today! Finally we can go for bike rides when we are here. I promise a picture of the bike will be posted soon.
In the next few days we’ll be doing a bit of traveling so my blog postings will be quite hit or miss while I’m on vacation. I’ll try to keep you posted on books read, places seen and all that but I’ll be honest, what I’m looking forward to the most is just enjoying my break.
Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful week and are reading lots of good books.
So, you’ve found your book, the temps are cooler, and you’ve visited the bakery a couple of times. Sounds like the PERFECT vacation! Have fun!! Maybe, by the time you return to TX, the temps will feel more like fall. Crossed fingers!
Have a wonderful time on vacation! I want to be anywhere that is cooler than 95 degrees right now. Hope you get lots of reading and relaxing done.
I’m glad you found the book, Iliana! 🙂 Sounds like you are having a great vacation! I look forward to your posts soon!
Enjoy your trip Iliana! It’s nice that you are finally getting a break!
Hope you have a great time! I’m jealous that you’re in Germany. My mother is from there and I swear I will travel there someday! 😉
My tags arrived. Thank you very much for them!
yay for vacation and more comfortable weather!
Have fun!! Looking forward to hearing all about the great things you did on your vacation.
Have a wonderful vacation! Glad you found the missing book 🙂
Have a really great vacation–it sounds wonderful and you deserve a break from the heat! Glad you found Ms. Heyer–it always drives me a little crazy when I know I own a book and can’t find it!
Hope you’re having a fabulous time! I love Cotillion. It was my first Georgette Heyer read, so it will always be special to me.
Have a WONDERFUL time!! It sounds lovely.
And I am happy to report that Dallas is enjoying temps in the 80s today. SO GLAD it might be cooling off. 🙂
Hope you enjoy your trip!
I was just talking to someone about Heyer earlier today and was wondering what book Heyer fans might recommend as her best one to pick up if I was planning on giving her a try. Any thoughts?
