Some new ARCs that have arrived recently are a mix of young adult, romance and historical fiction. I love having a variety of books to choose from, don’t you? Here’s what’s arrived in my mailbox over the last couple of weeks:
Summer By Summer by Heather Burch. The cover of this one looks so inviting especially this time of the year. This is a story about a young woman who goes to Belize to work as a nanny before heading off to college. So this is a YA novel and it will be out this April.
Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver. I know many of you have read this author and this book is probably going to be another bestseller. A story of two sisters who are inseparable until a fateful accident leaves them estranged. This one will be published in March.
Shadow of the Crown and The Price of Blood by Patricia Bracewell. Two books part of the trilogy of the story of Emma, queen consort to the eleventh-century English king Aethelred II. Court intrigue, scoundrels and forbidden romance. Oh this is going to be good!
Amherst by William Nicholson. A novel about two love affairs set in Amherst – one in the present, one in the past and both presided over by Emily Dickinson. Very nice cover on this book and with that setting it’s gotta be an interesting read.
So there you have it. I wish I could start one of those now but as usual I’m in the middle of a bunch of other reads and I need to finish Doll God by Luanne Castle for the blog tour next week.
I hope you all have a super weekend and more bookish talk soon!
Patricia Bracewell’s books sound good! I look forward to your reviews!
Intrigued by Amherst! I love Emily Dickinson so when you read it be sure to us know what you think!
I’m also interested in Bracewell’s books! I have to write my review of Doll Gods, but am finding it difficult.
What a lovely pile you’ve got for the ARCS! Hope you enjoy reading them all and as always looking forward to your reviews. 🙂
I really like the sound of Summer by Summer! Looking forward to hearing what you think about it. I do need to read one of Lauren Oliver’s books – everyone seems to love them.
Wow, they all look good. I have Lauren Oliver books in Mt. TBR that I haven’t gotten around to.
Amherst sounds very good I love Emily Dickinson.
Happy reading 🙂
All of those are new to me, so thanks for the introduction!
Kailana – They do, don’t they? I feel like I haven’t read a good historical in a while so I am looking forward to those.
Stefanie – I know, me too! I am curious if there is any poetry incorporate in the book. I’ll definitely let you know.
Jenclair – I’m more than half way through Doll God and I believe it’s going to be a hard review for me to write as well. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.
Melody – I just got a bunch more this weekend. Oh dear! I think I need to stop visiting the library 🙂
Athira – I know, she’s definitely a fan favorite isn’t she? I haven’t read any of her books either so I’m excited I got this one.
Bookworm – Me too! I do have one of her other books in my stacks but just haven’t gotten around to her. I’ll keep you posted!
Bellezza – I hadn’t heard of any of them either so I’m excited to check them out!
Variety is always good! I haven’t heard of any of the books you received, although a couple of the author names sound familiar. I hope you enjoy your new books, Iliana!
