Whodunits

I think Danielle and I have been on the same wavelength. She recently posted a wonderful list of mysteries she’s bought and I’m also on another mystery kick.

I finished Paragon Walk, the third in the Thomas and Charlotte Pitt series by Anne Perry, and I’m not sure I’ll continue with this series. I like the setting but I still haven’t warmed up to the main characters. Any thoughts on this from some of its fans?

I’m half way through The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith and I am not liking it much. Which is disappointing as I really enjoy the Mma Ramotswe series. And, why did he have to name one of the main characters Grace? He already has a memorable Grace in the Mma Ramotswe series?

I did start Wednesday’s Child by Peter Robinson and so far it’s great. Let’s hope it continues that way.

So to continue on my mystery kick, today I bought two new books: The Old Fox Deceiv’d by Martha Grimes because I really liked the first Richard Jury book so I want to see what happens next. And, I bought What Angels Fear by C.S. Harris because I do love historical mysteries.

And, off-topic but I wanted to send a big congratulations to my dear friend Christine who got married this weekend! She had a beautiful ceremony and it was wonderful to share in her happiness.
