I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed a fabulous sunny day today. I think it got up to 80!
I finished two books on the weekend but silly me, I was in such a rush to finish Pronto as it’s for a book group read but then I realized yesterday that book group doesn’t meet until next weekend. Oh well, I guess at least I’m ready. Haha.
Aside from enjoying beautiful weather and reading, we also stopped in at the bookstores and checked out some magazines and books. I flipped through Nikki Giovanni’s Bicyles: Love Poems and should have bought it. Some of the poems definitely made me smile.
Didn’t get any bookbinding done and I still have a long list of other things that are waiting for me but all that can wait for another day. Tonight I’m in the mood to do a bit of book shopping online so I’m off to indulge a bit. I’ll let you know what I got.

Wasn’t this weekend gorgeous? I’m cringing about Tuesday’s weather–don’t know about you guys, but we’re forecasted to get a “winter mix” (apparently rain, sleet, and snow) with a high of 22. Just doesn’t seem fair after yesterday’s sun and warmth–I took a nap outside and got a little overheated!
Enjoy the shopping. Gladly that’s one sport I haven’t gotten into. 😉

Trish – Oh my goodness, I couldn’t believe how wonderful it was. We went out this afternoon and silly me I was in jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I know everyone must have been thinking “weird girl it’s hot outside!” haha… I feel for you if you guys get the wintery mix. All traffic stops in Dallas when that happens!

We had a lovely Saturday, but the rain came on Sunday and remains.
I remember liking Giovanni’s “I Wrote an Omelet” and there was one other one that stuck with me, but which I can’t remember now. I’ve never read an anthology of her work, just some of her poems included in other works.
Wow, 80 degrees? That sounds wonderful.
