I’m not a big fan of thunderstorms but I do like that soft rain that can make the perfect background noise for when all you want to do is settle down with a good book. Tonight we are getting lots of thunder and lightning. We really need rain so I’m hoping it pours down.
I’ve had a very long day at work and actually my week just seems like it’s already been way too long since I had to be in the office all day on Sunday. So sorry for the short post and being absent from blogland. I need to rest up a bit tonight.
I’m curling up with A Beautiful Place to Die which is making me realize I know very little about South Africa politics and history. It’s interesting and an eye-opener that’s for sure.

I enjoy any type of rain, whether accompanied by thunderstorm or not. That little bit of white noise (or a lot) does a fabulous job of making me feel like I’m in this vacuum and it’s only me and the story. Love that feeling.
I know how it feels to be swamped thoroughly with work. Although only Tuesday – it sure feels like it’s been an incredibly long week. Can’t wait for Friday! Good luck and let’s hope we make it through this nightmarish week!
I love rain so much (as long as I’m not in it). We haven’t had any here in forever, and we need it for sure.
I get being wiped out. I worked all day and then came home, ate, and immediately started grading papers. I am taking a quick break before I get back at it. So yeah, this is turning into 2 15-16 hour days in a row. Me no likey.

I love thunderstorms! I like nothing better than sitting and watching them, especially in the conservatory where it rains so heavily.

Hey Everyone – Well, so much for all the thunder and lightning because we must have only gotten one drop! Ugh. We really do need a lot of rain in Texas. Got to rest up a bit more but work has been so crazy! What did I sign up for at my new job! 🙂 Hope we all get plenty of rest this coming weekend!
